Sorry man. Now that you said it, it does look like a good joke. But its a little too subtle. Work on those skills, you J10 noob

Actually, if youre not using JS throttle and rely on mouse/keyboard or pure keyboard. Or if you have JS set to PERFECT 0 throttle, the reduction in speed is amazingly slow.

Re: F-35b Vs J-10... Please Fix!

don't have time to read all the posts here, so someone might've mentioned this already...

metallicagtrst has hit the nail on the head here.... the real problem with the J-10 is... [drum roll] ... the F-35!! The J-10, while easier to fly (thanks to the high pitch rate), isn't that much more powerful than the MiG-29 or F-18 (fighting against a J-10 with a F-18 is challenging, but still reasonable). The F-35, on the other hand, is an absolute deathtrap (thanks to its terrible pitch rate and hitbox that looks like it was slapped together in about half a minute).

Trying to fix this problem by nerfing the J-10 is a bad idea, I think. You could decrease the pitch rate, but then you'd have to figure out some other advantage to give it instead--and the F-35 would still be a deathtrap. That said, I think the ideal solution would be to increase the F-35 pitch rate slightly (at the moment it seems to turn as poorly as a bomber... which is just ridiculous in and of itself... I mean come on, it's a FIGHTER people!), and fix the darn hitbox if possible (but fix the pitch rate at the very least). If this is too much work for you EA/Dice boys then please PLEASE at least take metallicagtrst's idea and give it some more afterburner.

BTW, if anyone from EA/Dice actually reads this, I'd like you to know that whether or not you actually bother to fix this issue is guaranteed to have an impact on whether or not I buy any more of your products--ESPECIALLY BF2142.

Nerfing anything more in this game is bad idea, IMO.

              Hey Guys,
So we took a long hard look at this issue in relation to what we could try to do in 1.4.

We did some tuning to the J-10. Believe me or not most tuning we did actually made that lil sucker even more lethal (some people may have seen a server named 'J-10 Test' up within the last few weeks). Which brought us to the realization that if we were to do anything drastic to the J-10 it would likley ruin the vehicle unless we spent weeks in review and retuning.

We then reviewed what would be required to adjust the F35. The work and tuning and adjustment that would be required to try and bring the F35 up was roughly equal given the dual function of the F35 engine. I also received a crash course (har har) on hit box construction which helped me realize that this also would not be a simple adjustment and would also require weeks of adjustment and trial-and-error.

Long story short - This dynamic will not be changing in 1.4.

Maneuverability-wise, would it help if I gave you the results of the changes I made, in detail? Because I think Im on the right way, I gave F35B just enough boost in its characteristics to not to overpower the MiG, and Im currently working on the J10. Im doing this as a personal experiment anyway, but if youd like me to send you what changes I did, I could do it.

On comment, its sad to see that there will not be change in this in 1.4. I hope that you guys will still adress this issue in the future.

I must say Im very disappointed in this decision.

Ah somehow nothing really makes it into this patch
I hope there will be another one adressing all the issues that won't get fixed in 1.4 and not just BF2142, because that would piss me off quite a bit then...

Even if the nerfing is in 5-6% limits of the default numbers? You can call some things "adjustments" and not nerfs aswell, you know?

So question is, do those 5 - 6 % "adjustments" will be noticeable? Maybe...

Does it means there will be no changes to f35/j10 issue in 1.4?(stupid question actually, but i let it stay ) Can we expect changes on thos topic in future patches? (There will be >1.4 patches right??)

So there are no changes. How about they bring back those super AA missiles 100% lethal? At least F35 would have a fair chance against J10. In fact every plane would be equal to each other, as long as AA missiles are the same for all.

Yes, they should address AA again (including the Essex).

AA emplacements should be feared by jets. Right now, they are seen as easy points for jet pilots.
