Was on a pb server with a guy from PB tryingto sort out the freezing issues ,think he has sorted it out now,i didnt freeze in game so all is looking good ,and a fix should be out in the next 30 minutes.

Well this is great news :) Anyone able to play yet? I'll be trying here in a few...

server side mate,just go in and try the game in 30mins then report back ,like im gonna.

Well just tried it and NO freezes ,i think pb has fixed the issue guys,only played for a short while,but when i was getting the freezes the game would lock up after the first minute,so all is looking good:)

Just tried 5 mins ago and it still locked up on me.
I guess it's gonna take time for this update to spread to all the servers.
I guess I'll wait until tomorrow before I mess with it again.

Good news about it possibly being fixed... I haven't tested it out yet though.

I did notice that alot of people having this problem have AMD processors. More specifically AMD Athlon 64 processors.

Anyone with an Intel chip having this problem?

I am running an AMD 64 3000+ 2.02Ghz...but then again...I am not going to jump to fast on this one. PB, Video Card, or Processor conflict, too many possibilities, and similarities also. Hope things get fixed though.

i have AMD 64 and i have now tried it since the fix and it works ,played for over 2hours straight no freezes ,nothing ,its all good people all good cool: hope it works for everyone.

America's Army had some bizzare PB issues like this as well, only affecting a handful of people with seemingly no corelation to one another as far as hardware goes. i have an amd 3200+, but its 32bit, not 64.

i just want this stupid issue to be resolved already.

wen u guys say lock up do u mean it says "there is a problem with ur connection" or are u meaning something else????

Lock up as in comp not responding in my case.

I just tried a couple servers with no luck. Someone post the ip of a server that worked for you so the rest of can try.

and wen u guys mean lock up do u mean it says there is a problem with your connection message cause that is wat i get will pb fix this too????

PB patch worked for me, bf2 runs fine. no disconnects or anything, my problem is solved. thanks for the help guys.
