Just got a msg from PB

Ok, I need some log information from you. I want you to do the following:

Join a PB server, and drop the console with ~, then type

pb_logtofile 1

and then

pb_writecfg

Wait until you get kicked. Now check your ..\bf2\pb folder for a file called pbcl.log If you have hidden your file extensions, please make sure you open pbcl.log and not pbcllog.cfg! Paste the line from there into a new note.

Well, I am not getting kicked out of the servers, and I get about 10 seconds of playtime before I freeze. So I will go try this out right now and report back.

Update: I was able to get the pblog to print up until I crash. I'm going to open a ticket with evenbalance and submit the info.

Same here, tried playing and as soon as I get in game im guaranteed a lockup in 10secs to a minute. tried all of the suggestions outlined here ie re-installing game, drivers & such. NO joy
I've tried updating PB aswell, again surprise surprise no joy. however I did try my Call of Duty 2 online and picked a PB server, guess what?? yep it froze!

EA & PB are really starting to boil my urine at the moment, they take great games and........................erm..........(gotta be polite) mess them up!

600w arctic cooled PSU
12" Desktop fan (pumpin cool air into the open side of my case)
Wireless Router Modem on a 2meg line
all the above have the most upto date drivers n software
Originally I thought it could of been the new Nvidia driver, but I re-installed a previous one & had same probs. mind you this was before we all came to the conclusion PB still sux

what i dont understand is if it is a PB error then why is it only happening to some people and not all? im the only one in my clan that is having this problem and they play the same amount and in the same server as me.. its getting really ridiculous all i want to do is play my game and i cant even do that because of sum PB screw up..

Well at least your not totally alone ,more and more peole are complaining about this particualr issue,but on a whole the game runs like **** ,everyone knows its ,if its not the lag its the slow fps ,if its not the crashes to desktop its the freezes ,personally the only issue i have had is this freezing issue ,but the game is a BETA pure and simple.

Im a member of a clan that used to be based around Call of Duty and they have had no end of problems with both PB & DMW ( think thats the name). My mate had exactly the same problem with COD2 & after trying everything, like we have he left it for awhile, came back after a coupla months & it now plays fine. I dont want to have to do this as I've paid for this game ( and the expansion packs) and I cant use it! They just pump them out (anticheat software, games & all the bells and whistles to go with them, without fully testing them or asking gamers like ourselves to do the testing with our various systems & highlight any issues, which EA seem to be doing with the new patch, which should be coming out soon. Just hope it sorts this present issue out.

How the hell am I supposed to stat pad now!? joke! that was a joke before I get lynched lol

Was on a pb server with a guy from PB tryingto sort out the freezing issues ,think he has sorted it out now,i didnt freeze in game so all is looking good ,and a fix should be out in the next 30 minutes.
