whilst dice are *******es for putting such a **** commander option in the game and being able to scan for every enemy on the map at the click of a button, they wont change it.

just dont buy any more battlefield games as it seems dice dont like people to live long, to have decent guns or to have any form of stealth, bf2 was my first and last from these numpties :)

take the uav out completely. No skill when it comes to using it. Its more like a cheat imo, but its in the game so i deal with it lol. I like playing servers without commanders but there hard to find mostly in io servers but it makes it more fun instead of just following the red dot or waiting for the red dot to hit the corner..you cant even flank with that stupid thing up in the air so there goes the tactics..freaken sucks..then when you blow up the uav trailer they drop a box on it and vualla..its fixed again so you blow it up again and run off only to turn around and they dropped another box on it...so you say F it.

probably because it's retarded not to have a commander along with it being against ROE to disallow someone from commanding.

i think that is absolutely a great idea that would make the game alot funner really. ofcourse i play as a sniper alot and this would be to my advantage. another point is commanders like to do cartillery and droping supply crates on you while say your on top of a hard to reach spot that you luckly managed to reach while under fire. i cant tell you how many times that has happened to me. also i know that as a snipe who is the commander i like to use the scan to find other snipers and take them out but with this in use i personaly think it would make the game funner. great idea man.

personal i hate UAV / ARTY and as for sniper hiding in tress

if u set settings LOW the tress well erm ARNT there (some)

so its risky

The Uav is fine. I play sniper at the start of most maps to help cap that first flag, over 200 hours so far. Any way if the enemy comander wants to drop arty on little ol' me he can but he will never win the round that way. A lot of times I watch the arty tear up the spot I was at when I heard it start fireing and it didnt kill anyone. If Im being targeted by the enemy arty I must be a big threat or the enemy commander is a big noob. Well thats my view any way. . . . . . . . .Red

...so true

its hilarious when they call an arty strike but you dont even lose half health.

one time on daquing i was sniping with my .50 cal at chinese base in trees to the south, he hopped in the chopepr and turned around facing me to let someone in i guess so i took a shot, it hit him but didnt kill.
his gunner got and and he took off towards me and went on a run over the area i wasin and let all 8 rockets loose.

his gunner shot off a tv guided and sparyed the machine gun EVERYWHERE the camo saved my butt because they never saw me but knew i was there.
I ran and moved away from them as then pwn3d the area i WAS in na di waited until they gave up and left, then i resumed sniping.

You should be aware (instead of just living in your own little oblivious sniper world) & get a flag, or die trying
