Re: Thanks for killing an unique part of the game!
Im just a wee bit confused about hwo this was team work.
Map would start...everyone would spawn at the Heli pad.
People would TK to get in it.
Sometimes it was a crew full of Engys..sometimes a crew full of medic/support..Engys would just twist away while medic/support sat back.
Clans would all hop in and spam "get out"
Maps would end before everyone loaded the map.
Guys would fly around capping flags...some maps were just "BH" maps, no reason to do anything else on the map but fight to have a spot on the PointHawk.
Flags would change hands every 30 seconds since the guns were basically rapid fire GLs attached to a tank.
I still can effectivly use the BH as a transport chopper, as its meant to be..sure the guns are nerfed and the armor to but it isnt to hard.
Fly high..be SL, have Squadies spawn on you and parachute over areas..no points for you really..but thats teamwork. Having a problem getting off the carrier?? Get in BH..hover high..keep spawning on SL flying hawk high and then chute out over bases, rinse repeat.
Only downside to BH, it needs armor boost, after that it will be fine. The gun nerf put it on an equal playing field as opposing transport helis. With out the nerf we still see lopsided teams, maps that last 90 seconds, and 6 guys with 200+ scores who didnt fire a single shot...they might as well been AFK.
Seems just like a majority of you guys want to have "tricks". The true trick to BF2 is and should be execution of attack...not having an upper hand do to key combonations, macros, unforseen vehicle exploits. Your upper hand should be using cover, following orders, being a resposible SL by keeping low allowing squadies to respawn and try again at attacks. the people who defend these actions are usually the guys who get 100 points a round yet there team loses.
The list goes on and on on logical explanations, but logic doesnt seem to be a factor..the only factor that seems present in all the "dont nerf more tricks" is the fact that you want an advantage over the casual player or person who cant afford macro boards. Being such ubah pwners you should be able to overcome any nerf they swing your way. No game will ever be perfect, and we must expect that..slowly but surely Im sure DICE has and had a direction they wanted BF2 to follow. Sure we were given 2 games at once..a semi-reality military game with a touch of unreal things...but all in all its main focus was "team work". The BH made the team 6 guys in a chopper, the belly flopping made casual players fodder for ubah FPS gamers, and squad hopping made SL just movable spawn points till your SL respawned...not one of these tactics helped team work.. Now you must use the BH as transport, re-think being rambo since you knwo the noobs cant handle your belly flop and you also have to be responsible as a SL and also choose your squad wisely.
Im thinking that if for some odd reason if a patch was released and a bug in it gave instant 100% health or god mode just by hitting a key you defenders would use it till it was fixed..just cause you can and you want need and crave that upper hand. Is it better to kill kill kill or is it better to feel you stood face to face with your competitor on equal ground yet you did the team work it took to win.
