IO isn't getting rid of stat padding, IO IS stat padding.

LoL. you saying that every IO player is a stats padder. i don't think so, there are still people who want to play by rules and earn there points at a fair way. ofcourse there are lamers who act like that, but you got them also in 1.3. they just search a empty place to knife and revive.

I've seen medics revive the same guy 7 or 8 times with no attempt to kill the enemy infantry first, the enemy just as happy to keep killing the revived guy letting the medic live on to revive again and again.



Well that medic and person killing the guy hes reviving are taking advantage of crappy game mechanics, just like a person who sits infront of karkand and spawn rapes. So maybe you can argue about taking away ALL stat padding, but stuff like a medic reviving over and over without dying hardly ever happends while people camp in vehicle all the god damn time. Are you complaining about that? Or about the people bombing the uncaps? No you only seem to care about some nobody medic getting like 8 points for reviving someone a few times.

Aghh the game is going to crap some medic in some unknown server just got 8 points, hes now competing with me and the 4 people I just bombed.

Now THAT is a good idea! let's tell this Dice :) i would run 24/7 with a cork in my hand :P and maybe you can add a sound, instead of the horn in a car, when you press "T" you laugh at the one in his unusable tank :)

O my. IO is not a MOD. it's a MODE.

mode--> MOD. that's a huge difference

Any previous after market game mode never altered content so much as to break the definition of vanilla, but IO does it. MOD = modification / modify, IO = modifications / modify unit types / modify spawns / modify hit points / modify damage, shall I go on?

IO will be using modifications, IO is NOT vanilla.

So all you IO lovers have been contradicting yourselves? Most of you guys have been saying Dice have ruined Vannila by making IO, so if its not vannila, its not ruined. So you stick to your game mode, and we stick to ours =). I dont see many Infrantry lovers complaining about AF...do you?

There is more skill in having an gun, with a crosshair and bullet, than there is sitting in a base, rotating your turret, waiting for anything that spawns infront of you to 'pwn'.

I think the argument was "ruining the game, by splitting the community in two", rather than "ruining the game by diverging from the vanilla format".

Your pedantry is becoming patronising. Vanilla is original unmodified content.

It's not a mod in the conventional sense given that it's built in the form of a patch. If however it was built in the form of a mod then obviously there would be no argument.

A theme I notice a lot with most IO supporters, low scores, low play time, low experience, a preference for high spm maps, and they nearly all have bans.

No a mod must be selected under custom games, thats obviously a must to classify as a mod.

If they released it as a mod it wouldn't be a seamless transition during server map changes, so in that sense it's not a mod. But it meets just about every other requirement of a mod.

Regardless of your petty speculation about patches, they obviously just change the version no.

You want some other definition of vanilla then whatever, I don't really care.

If you don't care about stat, then you don't care about it being ranked right? Everyone will be happy, those who care about stat will not se the system shot down and those who don't will have no problem either way, right?
