Agreed. I have yet to find a squad that will stay with me and take flags in large amounts. I met one person who agrees with me just today, we were talking over VoIP. We both agreed that pretty much EVERY player above Master Gunnery Sergeant is some kind of wh0re to put it bluntly. Whether it be a PKM, J10, or armor. Anything, it's just points. Most high ranking players I see are medics, in armor or jets. They mold their playing style to get the most points possible without dying.

I would agree with you. I admit I am fond of armor, and thus probabaly an armor whore with over 200 hours in a tank. However, I also take a ton of flags. Matter of fact, I have more flag caps than most people with twice my GS so I try to temper my armor whoring with serving a purpose and capturing as well as defending the flags I have taken.

I really nice well admined server that I like to go to is Tactical Gamer if you want teamwork this is your place to go. You are required to join a squad, and voip is not necissary but it helps as most people on the server will be using it.

Its unranked so none of the stat padding BS either :)

Yea, i agree, most people play for only fun and points, not for teamplay. I myself find a nice kind of fun in good teamplay, but i guess those guys are too caught up in reviving and insta proning gun kills to experience that.

I think you shouldn't have called people like that "losers". So they might not care about winning; that's jsut how they play. You're not the one to insult them just because they don't play like you. I generally play fo points, not ribbons or badges, but points for unlocks. I also play on public ranked servers. Only. But that doesn't mean I don't also play for the team. Just because somebody plays for points doesn't automatically rule them out as being a team player.

It's because it is a game and it is meant for entertainment. Being entertained does not mean having to have your side wins. Here are some good ideas of why some people may not feel the way you do:

              1) As long as they place top three, they don't care.

              2) They are having fun just by doing what they want, like sitting in a tank the whole map.

Point is, everyone has a different opinion on what 'fun' is. Me, I don't really care too much when I play, I just do what floats my boat at that particular moment in time. Sometimes that just mite be picking the sniper rifle kit and hanging out somewhere while eating sandwich and drinking a nice cold beverage of my choice.

You can't expect everyone to have the same wants and ideals as you do, would be a pretty boring world if everyone was like that. I'm not saying your boring either, I'm just saying you wouldn't have much variety in it if everyone was the same.

Agreed, most people consider winning as scoring high points and getting a star instead of winning the round.

                  Re: Why so many losers?

from experience with the game..its pretty bad to lose after a good hard fight...ive been playing the demo a lot lately (1.3 runs too slow) and theres this one server where both teams get like 2000 tickets so the round lasts 3 hours or so and its a heck lot of fun to be able to disconnect for a bit to get some food and then come back into the same action ...but there was one round where we couldnt get off the carrier and we just got bombed over and it was a massacre. and after a long battle we lost and it was like a sledgehammer to our morale (the next round was pretty bad also)

ok idk y im writing this but im saying that even if a team tries to win, they cant cuz the other team is pretty much just better

Well, usually bad guys comes in pairs or more. Reviving the wounded might, and I emphasize might, give your team the upper hand in that situation. Sometimes it do, sometimes it don't.
If I'm a loner in that situation I go for the bad guy first.
If I'm surrounded with teammates (and at least one additional medic), I go for the revive hoping someone takes care of the bad guy
                    ... in theory anyways

The funny thing is most people seem to have read into this and assume I am actually labeling people winnners and losers. It was a completely rhetorical thing and not meant to call people names.

I guess some who have replied cannot read so I will say it again (as I did earlier in this thread) that I was simply trying to understand why so many people were content with losing the round. If that premise is too complicated, please don't reply in this thread.

                        Re: Why so many losers?

First of all your header is asking why there are so many losers, giving the idea that majority of others are, as you said, losers. After this provoke guestion you are explaining that nothing else mattes in your life than being a winner. This statement covers your entire life as you said.

Later on, when I tease you a little bit because of your attitude, you started to insult me without even knowing who I am. I might say that we are living quite similar life. Work, kids and so on. For the smokin hot thing, I have to admit that after 15 years of spending my life with my wife, that internet porn is sometimes tempting

Also I give you a little hint, it becomes more intresting when browsing with your wife ( some of them may get angry if you propose such, mine isn't and it's nice variation for ordinary pumping)

Anyhow I wouldn't want to be you son when playing baseball or what ever you play with your kids. Daddy wants to win you know

There has been perfectly good answers for your thread. Read em again and try to think. Who gives a **** for winnig or losing some round in a videogame. At least I play for my fun. As long as my K/D ration is over 1 I'm usually happy. Sometimes I'm happy with a single shot done in the game.

Learning from my first reply, I'm expecting full load of personal insults. Do your best, your text and metaphoras was amusing. "Beating the clown was really funny"

Here's what I find funny: your posting a rhetorical question on a message board. Why post a rhetorical question, a thing that's not meant to be answered, on a very popular forum? What did you expect to happen? You write something that's dripping in sarcasm and you don't expect any kind of reaction, be it good or bad?

Don't get me wrong, I hear what you're saying but why come to a place of discussion to ask a question that's not meant to be answered?

i dont play to win, i play for fun.....i dont care how i look, or whatever, as long as i enjoy what im doing, be it lonewolfing with my knife or C4, or if its taking flags with my squad, or if its whoring the choppa...

as far as im concerned, the win/loss....kill/death.....and other stats are quite meaningless in contrast to fun....
