    Re: Why so many losers?

Also note, winning in BF2 has nothing to do with getting laid. That happens anytime I want it and is the benefit of all the other things I do in the real world. I don't spend time "punching the clown" in the bedroom with the lights off to the soft glow of internet porn as you do.

    Gets a chuckle from me.....

Later on, when I tease you a little bit because of your attitude, you started to insult me without even knowing who I am. I might say that we are living quite similar life. Work, kids and so on. For the smokin hot thing, I have to admit that after 15 years of spending my life with my wife, that internet porn is sometimes tempting

Also I give you a little hint, it becomes more intresting when browsing with your wife ( some of them may get angry if you propose such, mine isn't and it's nice variation for ordinary pumping)

Anyhow I wouldn't want to be you son when playing baseball or what ever you play with your kids. Daddy wants to win you know

There has been perfectly good answers for your thread. Read em again and try to think. Who gives a **** for winnig or losing some round in a videogame. At least I play for my fun. As long as my K/D ration is over 1 I'm usually happy. Sometimes I'm happy with a single shot done in the game.

Learning from my first reply, I'm expecting full load of personal insults. Do your best, your text and metaphoras was amusing. "Beating the clown was really funny"
You are completely correct. I do not pressure others as I pressure myself, but I am competitive to a fault.

It is next to impossible to get context out of the written word. There is no inflection of voice nor can you see obvious gestures so I will also concede that I may have tweaked a bit to your earlier reply.

In the end the post only served to make sense to some, while others did not get it and that is a risk you take when posting around here. My problem may be that I did not say enough things using haxor l33t speak so that nor did I call someone a noob. Perhaps next time I will know better and use those terms so things are not taken out of context.

Don't get me wrong, I hear what you're saying but why come to a place of discussion to ask a question that's not meant to be answered?
A rhetorical question is usually defined as any question asked for a purpose other than to obtain the information the question asks. For example, "Why are you so stupid?" is likely to be a statement regarding one's opinion of the person addressed rather than a genuine request to know.

The question was posed to provoke a conversation. It is a common way to do so and is often used in literature as well as in the spoken word. The question itself not only sets the tone, but also the subject and needs no direct answer other than the conversation that it has given birth to. The words used in the question were designed to get readers into the thread and get the words flowing. It did and to that end worked exactly as intended. You’re ability to grasp of my reasoning for creating this thread or lack of such is moot, but I appreciate the input.

Peace bro, I didn't want get personal after all. I was just teasing you a little. Maybe I did get your message wrong. English is not my native language and there are things that foreigner may not comprehend, especially in written information like u said.
Lets just drop this. I do like challenge others for debate and my first reply was also a bit provoke but I didn't really ment to make u angry. In Skandinavia it's quite common that during debate it's allowed to tease others even if the opponent is not close friends of yours.

I hope all good for you and in the next debate I'll take other way when I disagree with you. :)

                            Oh what the hell Wreck:

                            Statement:

I want to win. I want it in everything in my life. So this applies to playing video games online. I want all the flags. I want the entire enemy team dead. I want MY team to win the round.

                            Legit question:

Why are so many of you content on losing the round as long as you get some points?

I am still amazed to this day that there are soo many players out there who do not care if the team they are on wins or loses. I don't care what anyone says, you cannot be playing as a team and trying to accomplish the objectives of taking and holding a flag and lose by 250 points. Seriously though, don't you get tired of looking like newbie players by getting owned EVERY round? Does it not bother you to finish without even coming close to a win?

I just need some clarification on why the trend is to go all out for yourself and not apply your amazingly godlike skills in a jet or a tank or with C4 to actually help your team to win a round.

Now don't get me wrong. I want points as much as anyone, but the amazing thing is that if I just take flags and kill bad guys while doing so, I get some serious points. If I run in a group with my squad and actually TRY to win the round, the points come rolling in. It's awesome. The bonus is we often win! Incredible isn’t it?

** Yes this is all very sarcastic, but I am tired of people trying to be the lone wolf, godlike player and not doing crap to help their team. **

Even if you pay attention and say the medics are team players, most of the time you will notice they run out into the line of fire and die trying to revive. They did not make ANY effort to kill the bad guy, they just ran out for the revive score. How many times have you been killed, only to be revived and killed again in the same spot, buy the same bad guy who just killed the medic who revived you as well?

How about no one spotting armor? You spawn and die. You now know where the armor is, but you spawn somewhere else and the armor has moved. No one spotted it and there you go again dead.

It's been said a million times around here, but you guys need to get off you high points horse and try to help your teammates win. You may like the sound of a winning round once in a while. Yes, it is possible to get a 3.0 WL ratio. It is possible to not lose very other round.

** The "you" in this rant is not any one person. If you take it personal, then chances are, your one of the idiots who does not play to win. **

                            THere, happy lol?

                              Re: Why so many losers?

After reading all the replys, i have to say, i agree with the original poster completley. However, I have recently found the situation of a lack of teamwork resolved in joining a clan and buying a mic and headset. Getting to know your teamates and there style of play is crucial in an effective team. This in my opinion is why there is no teamwork in public servers. nobody knows what they are doing or there role in the squad.

-Also, what makes me work for my own points gain more than for the team is the regular occurence of last minute teamswapping.

For example, you spend an hour of intense fighting for your team, the match is extremely close. You have put yourself in the frontline, taken the large number of deaths for your teams benefit. You think it has all been worth it until you die when theres only a few tickets left and get put on the other team. you then lose...all the effort is wasted...you end up with poor stats and low morale which affects your next couple of rounds.... This really ****S ME OFF ARGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! as you can guess, i have just finsihed a gaming session of the above description....

i dont actually play to win per se BUT
i do try to be the one guy who defend the hotel at shaq every round
while every one else is gone i do my best to try and stop us from getting capped out
i have learnt the way how attacks come in waves and and always suprised how many great players get capped out and then find themselves with only 5 or 6 guys left alive against 30 MEC + tanks+ APC's + helo's
thats why i always stay behind to hold our best flag
                                my 2 cents
