Yea, if they didn't have such high reqs to just get one repair point, people might actually be able to get the expert repair badge without having to go to a high points server or something like that.

Fine, why odn't you try and get 20 points IN A ROUND then? You do notice that repair assets only gets you 1 POINT, 1, and it takes too long to repair already. Trust me, it takes a LOT to get expert repair.

Exactly. Getting 20 repairing points means keeping repairing for something like 10 minutes. But a 64 Karkand lasts only maybe 15 minutes. How could anyone make it? 15 ppl playing in a 64 server is the only way I know at this stage.

Yea, get as little of players as you can on a 64 player ranked server, than just repair your heart out.

I agree. Repair points take way too long to get. I've sat repairing arty for minutes only to get 2 or 3 repair points. Sometimes it doesn't even give it to you. And to top it all off, he has a shotgun (unless of course you have the MP7). The shotgun isn't bad but with all the sniping it's hard to get kills with it on maps other than Karkand. I think they should have given the engy an MP5 or other PDW-type gun, maybe even a carbine.

Comoon, shotgun is just magical stuff for ENGs. I know comparing with the other SMGs the MP7 is not bad at all ( if not the best ). But shotguns, all of them, just own everything, well, if they are close enough. If you play engineer infantry, just don't engage anyone far from you, always lure them into street corner then turn back and land a couple rounds on the face. I dropped 7 guys in a row with 8 rounds using a M11-87 today in Karkand, 2 of them was sqawn camped though.

                Agreed...x3 repair points speed.

Its sad...you'll see someone with 20 revives, 10 heals, 27 supply points but only 2 repair points at the end of the round...

The MP7 feels so weak. Granted its a light machine gun, but this unlock blows.

The upgrade from the standard shotgun to the auto shotgun is nice - the Jackhammer, but after that...blah.

You guys better go out and get some skills instead of whining here about DD and the medic class being to powerfull.
All this game needs are improvements no more nerfs.

LOL noobs...I'm so sick at that

Lol, BF2 doesn't take skills, unless you count Airplane whoring and armor whoring as well as medic revive fest as skills... Games like Americas Army require real skill, that's why i play americas army for realism relief. Anyways, you can't get any 'skills' to make you repair faster, can you, repairng takes forever, just repairing something usually takes longer than holding the medic bag in your hand or ammo bag in your hands nad resupplying/healing that way.

More points for repairing would be an impovement there is nothing wrong with that.
And if you think BF does not require skills you have never been on foot against some of the realy good players out there. In this case your not the one to be here and complain.
If you like AA more than BF fine go and play it but don't come over and ask for nerfs in the game some of us enjoy.

Well, i don't play AA more, i just play it for realism relief. Anyways, BF does require skills, it's just that AA requires many more skills. Anyways, I"M not asking for nerfs that much exactly, i'm asking for more repair points, but a medic nerf wouldn't be bad for me either, and i'm sure most players wouldn't have a prob with that either.

I believe most ppl who want to nerf medic class just want medics to be what they’re supposed to be but not medic storm specialists. There is no reason to hate medics if they are medics, right? Since BF2 is not such a realistic game, things should be balanced to make every kit unique and fun to play. But I simply don't see any good from assaulters now. So many times I've seen someone became best assaulter of the round with a score about 12 or 15 recently. It's just not the way the game should be.

Agree, they should balance out medic and assault, all classes should be more or less even, , but medic gets the same guns, or in some cases, BETTER guns, and usually more useful frags, and self heal ability, and point getting abilities of revive and heal.

True, but when you DO use the shotgun right, especially the pump actions, you are the deadliest person in the game.

Couple of times I've score more on Karkand with the shotgun than the armour whores have.

It's especially effective in and around Hotel, especially if everyone is playing Medic. Click-boom-kill +2 thank you. Click boom kill, +2 thank you. Often run up scores of over 100. The only problems are Support and Assault.

The mines? Well put them it decent spots. While they DO seem to be team mate magnets, they are useful in certain locations.

The repair points speed DOES suck, but it's to stop the Black Hawk whoring. Honestly I don't bother with repair points when I'm an engineer. I'll repair things enough so they aren't broken, but I'm not going to repair it 100%.

Seriously though, I also play medic a bit and I'll spam medic packs in places like a flag, or a choke point, but the speed people die in BF2 it's easier to wait for the revive.

I also know the pain of people reviving me when I don't want them to, but that's mainly got to do with a kit selection thing. The I'm solo against 32 enemy isn't a valid argument. Because the MEDIC is now also solo against the same 32. If he revives you the odds improve from 32:1 to 16:1. If he then revives your other mate it's 8:1.

This is how human wave attacks work. If the defenders have to split their fire over too many targets, someone is going to get through.

While the 32:1 example is bad, something like the lone PKM'er is a better example. If it's 1:1, he's got the drop on you. If it's 1:2 then you can kill him while he's killing your friend. Then go revive your friend.

Reviving you doesn't harm the team, letting you die and respawn does cost a ticket though. Reviving you keeps that ticket alive, and it can occupy the badguys while they get flanked, or aren't somewhere else defending another flag.

While I'd love a DNR button, I honestly don't see why people complain about the revives. The only problem I have with it is when you don't notice a medic is near you and you are in the weapon selection screen not paying attention to the battle and suddenly you are in it again.

My own medic "ethos" isn't score points, it's revive people to get them back into the game. It keeps their "ticket" alive, it keeps their K/D ratio better, it sometimes means they only have to wait 5 seconds instead of 15 to play again, it can help with target saturation, or it can mean the flag gets capped quicker and somewhere along the lines it grabs me 2 points. Bonus.

I honestly probably would still do it if I wasn't getting any points.

But the healing bags? while you can heal while holding it takes too long. I'll throw medic bags (as I said) where they might be needed, and I might go look for a wounded guy, but mainly it's to toss at anyone who is wounded in passing, AND TO HEAL MYSELF.

As you've said, this isn't what the medic bag should be used for, but about 99% of the medics out there have exactly this mentality. My medic bags, my heals. And this means if you DO want healing, you have to do it yourself.

Nerf the bags, and this will happen even more.
