I must admit I dont have a clue how to cheat :hmm: , but I agree with what everyone says you broke the rules & you are out. But at least you were honest enough to admit that you have cheated in the past so I suppose you aint all bad .

You hack, you got caught, you suffer the consequenses. You are never going to play another online game with your current machine. 99% of all games use punkbuster, you're screwed.

So basically PB bans your computer? And not only your serial?

There are three kinds of bans (two from PB, and one from someplace like Punkbusted),

1. GUID ban. This is from PB and you will need to buy a new copy of the game to play again.

2. Hadrware ban. This is also from PB, and you will have to start swapping out/buying new components till you find the right parts that where used for the ban (you will also need to buy a new game).

3. A Punkbusted ban (if anything like a ban from any of the America's Army anti-cheat communities) is only a ban on your user accout/GUID. All this one takes is to create a new account and you can play again. Of course if you're stupid enough to keep doing what got you the PsB ban in the first place, you will be creating a lot of accounts.

Regardless, DON't CHEAT. Don't ruin a fun game by cheating, just so you can brag to your buddies about your stats, or to prove that you know how to cheat/hack.

If you are sure that you didn't cheat (yeah right), that they made a mistake (i heard that one numerous times), then submit an appeal at www.pbbans.com .

Pretty much. :) And the best part is with a hardware ban it isn't just one piece of hardware that you need to swap, it is a combination of parts (I have seem rumors that it is a minimum of three components that make up the hash that the ban is based on). Mkaes it rather expensive when you get caught doesn't it,

$50.00 for the game, probably a minimum of $200.00 for new parts, and let's hope he was really stupid and paid for the hack he used (usually $20.00). :laugh:

EA needs to gather info and turn it in to PB for the players that jump in the hotel at karkand and for any other exploit that is used. Any kind of cheat deserves hardware ban no matter what the cheat was.
