I get kill assists as Assault when I put 3 AK101 rounds into someone's backside and they run around the corner and someone else finishes them off.

And TBH I'd much rather have someone helping me cap the flag then simply sitting there watching me do it and spotting out enemies.

And again, it's not that sniper has no teamwork capabilities, it's just that they have the least amount of any of the seven classes.

Oh, i give up you just don't understand. I thought u were reasonable guys over here but it turns out you will flame at anyone for no reason...

nah its not just ppl here, its everyone that plays karkand all day, everyone on PBF and EA forums. they hate snipers, jets and helicopters.

i think its cool that u have a gang of snipers invading servers, since a good squad of them can really eat into enemy squads, even close up!!!

I love sniping, it ****es a lot of people off. It's funny when you hit someone and they start running around all scared with their med packs out, lol.

I'm a decent sniper. Got around 49% accuracy and 3:1 k/d ratio.

I wouldn't say snipers are worthless. I get way more kill damage assists with sniper than with any other class. I make it easier for my teammates to kill, lol.

Since I play a lot of Karkand, I see tons of people in vodniks. Once the guy switches to the gun, I pop him in the head. I think I did this to one guy about 5 times in a row. I guess he didn't get it and just kept being stupid.

Snipers are more of an annoyance than anything. They **** people off and hurt the enemy. I'd say that's sufficient enough for being a team player. But you'll never see them going to cap flags very often, nor should they.

Correction... They **** people off and shoot the enemy, only the bad snipers hit them and don't aim for the head :)

I don't waste my time with headshots. If they're still, then yeah, headshot. But no way would I waste my time aiming for someones head that is hopping around and crap. With the SVD I just hit them in mid-air not really caring where I hit them. Eventually I'll get enough registers to put them down. Same goes for the M24.

I have had some great shots though, lol. A few days ago I headshoted some guy on Karkand when he was in full dive. , that was funny.

I've also had a few quick scopes. Some guy runs around the corner, does his immediate dive, I quickly scope and nail him from 5m. Those are amazing shots I think.

I would be interested to see some demos/movies/clips of your sniper club, if you have them, for this reason. With all due respect, of all the classes, the player I suspect of hacking the most often is usually a sniper. And I'm not even thinking of the "super sniper" that I shoot 5 times with my f2000 on single shot and he headshots me as I'm prone, because that's lag, packet loss, model probs, or I just need skillz, blah blah blah.

I'm thinking about the supersniper that I circle strafe and bunny hop, and he 1 shots me in the head with his M95/M24, two, three, four times in a round. I'm not talking about unzoomed SVD gundowns, which I have done. I mean 1 shot bolt action headshots in CQC.

Are there players in your club who can pull that off? I mean, come on, that's hacking isn't it?

I know no1 who could haedshot you when you're hopping around, a hs when against someone prone is easy compared and I definately wouldn't class that as suspicious...

Yeah if you go prone against a sniper, unless you're a sniper yourself, it's just asking to die. I've seen people do that to me when I'm a sniper and I'm always amazed. Yes, the G36E is a good gun, but don't go prone 150m away when you KNOW I'm a sniper and expect to survive.

And almanac pretty much nailed it IMO. Sniper isn't the class that should be out capping flags (although they can, and I have before, but doing so can easily get you killed, which is why I'm a horrible sniper). Also, yeah, headshots on hopping or moving targets are almost impossible, so I don't bother going for them either. Moving targets get the body shot and, if they're close enough, the switch to the pistol for the kill. I only go for the headshot on people who are standing still or prone, or in some kind of mounted gun like the Vodnik or a mounted MG.

close up shots are easiest with sniper rifles. comes from lots of practice using awp+deagle in counter strike, the bad thing is tho, if u dont get a headshot, then u have to swap to pistol.. which takes time!

5v5 on a map where no vehicles are used, no flags capped and no medics, just a shooting battle, you would loose every time.

in a PROPER 32v32 game a squad of snipers will seriously hamper the enemy..... thats what these guys do...

if the hit detection was perfect in bf2 i would snipe alot more, esp with bolt actions because u can skull em and all u see is dust with no damage delt, very frustrating
