I would be interested to see some demos/movies/clips of your sniper club, if you have them

My system is dead and twitching at the moment but once I get it back and running I've promised the lads a movie of the sniper competition. It's not open play but I hope it will show some 'slilz' and all that.

I don't think they class themselves as a 'club' as that cunjours images of memberships and badges. this is more of a collecion or community. A place where like minded people can share ideas and meet up to shoot the breeze. Very much like Total B2 but smaller.

5v5 on a map where no vehicles are used, no flags capped and no medics, just a shooting battle, you would loose every time.

I do agree that 80% medics have no clue as to what is requiered of them to do, or how and when to do it.

Yes, because we all know it takes mad skillz to sit on top of a building somewhere a mile away from the action and shoot at people who can't see you or don't know you're there. GG!

Actually, I have played against a team of snipers before, and I must say claymore spamming never felt so annoying. But it did get amusing after all the flags were capped and we got the pleasure of watching our heli go to each building top and maim the snipers positioned there while the rest of the enemy team waited for the round to end (they had no more flags, you see). Fun times.

Snipers are more of an annoyance than anything. They **** people off and hurt the enemy. I'd say that's sufficient enough for being a team player. But you'll never see them going to cap flags very often, nor should they.

I've capped flags as a sniper before. Head shot with a pistol is just as strong as any gun except accurate. Claymores are defense when capping, and then any quick snipe before getting a single shot with a pistol sees anyone down.

I'm a relatively new player and i've recently taken up sniping full time. I have to admit a lot of the time I do little more than reduce the enemies ticket count, although that does help ofcourse. However, i've also had a few good rounds where i managed to filter the majority of an advancing spawn, dropping most of my targets one after the next. This gave my team a chance to recover and move in. Something I couldn't have done as effectively alone, but together (as a team), it worked out well.

Edit: oh yeah and i almost forgot; from my experience ive found that snipers make great defenders due to claymores and their ability to remain undetected. They also are decent cappers as the above poster mentions.

Hi everyone, I and a couple of other people have set up a sniper community for BF2, we will go around servers together and sniper and we also set up events and competitions so if you want to be a part of this visit us here and sign up on the forums, we are a really nice bunch of people and hope to see you sniping out there soon :)

Kool! Myself and a few clanmates like to go around knifing all the snipers that we find, being they're the most worthless, non-contributing players out there!

Somehow I guarentee that 99% of the sniper naysayers posting here will skip right over this but this is a video showing just how productive snipers can be. I judge a kits worth by its POTENTIAL and not how good some people play it.

dBs, was that you playing? Some of those headshot's were amazing, surprised you landed them. How much was some of that sped up, your mouse sensitivity was insane otherwise.
Cheers for the vid, I rarely see clips where people are playing properly and not just doing stunts or humour

Its me but thats not the point (hence why I didnt mention it). Actually, there wasnt any speed up other than the obvious boring spots. I have a really low sensativity in the game (.30 with mx518 at lowest setting and no accelloration). I have a HUGE mousepad though and use every inch. Its a carryover from the fast paced aiming of UT.

Maybe this is intended for sniper naysayers, but from my side it was brilliant. I have a tendancy to wait for them to be still or front/back towards me before aiming for headshots, if I miss I will be heard. But you seem to kill moving targets easily.. I want a large pad now
