    $60.00 (Canadian) for BF2.

$111.00 for a new video card; Ati Radeon 9250. So around $170

...and thats it. My new moniter is coming in september (24 inchs) was free, and I'm not thinking of buying SF until August.

I only paid 50 bucks for 1 gig of RAM on sale. I used gift certificates to buy BF2 and SF :)

I completely upgraded my machine, but that was because my old one was old, not because of BF2, though it did occur at the same time.

So let's see... I preordered BF2, got SF, EF, and AF...

            I paid $50.

I've only spent $50 for the game itself. Going to spend probably a bit over $1000 on a new computer once I get a job.

                Never finance a depreciating asset.

Depreciating asset is anything you purchase that loses value over time. That includes cars, computers, jewelery, clothes, etc.

The only things you should finance are your house and your college education.

Buying a personal computer, of all things, on credit, is one of the most financially foolish things one can do.
Well obviously not all people can do this, so financing is their only option or they have nothing. Welcome to America.

                  BF2+SF=80
                  2gb RAM=170
                  Total of 250

I bought a soundcard for 83, but thats optional. I bought it for BF2 but also music.

Wow financing in USA is pretty good and u say is bad to use it?

Here in my country credit % is like 40% lol... in USA is like 5%

I swear if i had CCs with 5% interest rate i would be broken lol

Re: How much $ has battlefield 2 cost you?

$100 for a new mainboard to replace the PCI-only board, $170 for a GeForce 6600GT, $70 for an extra 512MB of RAM to bump to 1GB, $50 for a new case to accomodate the new board, $350 for a GeForce 7800GS after getting spoiled by the 6600GT, $80 for an ANTEC 500W power supply, $40 for an Ideazon MERC keyboard, $30 for a dedicated PCI sound card, $50 for a Logitech G5 laser mouse, and $200 for a 19" LCD to take advantage of the horsepower of that new 7800GS.

Of course, then there's $50 for the game, $30 for SF, and $10 each for the booster packs, for an extra $100 on top of that...oh, and $10 for a new serial number after losing my manual.

That's $1,240 if you count the $100 for the software itself, all spent for the express purpose of playing BF2 with more eye candy. All that's left of the old rig is the CPU, two memory sticks, the DVD/CD-RW, and the hard drive.
