Yea I agree, the jets are a great asset and fantastic when they are used by a good pilot who is a team player and makes an effort towards his team, but far too often they arent and a large number of players are too obsessed with trying to own ina jet because it is a simple and quick way to earn points, rather thanmucking in with their team mates. Selfish misuse of the jet doesnt contibute to the team, its detremental to the team, thats my opinion.
Jet whores can call me a moaning bitch all they want, but its true. I have nothing against a good jet pilot who is working for his team, its the selfish ones who tk and make no effort at all to help their team that boil my ****. I dont feel its unfair to say that there are far too many jet wores on the game and that this is the worst type of whoring, except perhaps the old commander whores.
I know the boy redfield seems to think the problem is simply that jet whores are more noticible because they have a bigger impact on ground forces and make it "personal". In a way yes this is correct, they do have more of an impact because of their natural unit strengths, which is what I am saying, which means that when this unit is misused it does have a big impact of the game, all the more reason for it not to be misused, wouldnt you say?
In almost every game, in every round there is always a big queue waiting for the jets, usually tks to get them and always incidental tks when making bombing runs (which by the way I accept is often the assault forces faults as much as the jet pilots) which makes it a common problem too. So common that its got to the stage where I now hate the majority of jet pilots because of my in game experiences. You can pretty much guarantee its going to be some "maverick" arsehole up in the sky rather than an experienced, team player, therefore its pointless working with them because they certainly aint going to be working with you.
And no, this isnt about me not being able to fly, I can fly, i dont mind flying and had it not its just too much hassle getting a jet and not worth the waiting around, (I prefer an active role rather than sitting on a runway all round). Nor is this about me resenting higher point scores, I rarely get into the top 3 players and dont mind to see a good commander or great player sitting at the top of the pile, not if they earned it, it just adds to the game experience and makes it fun. My rant stems from the fact that this blaitant misue of a team asset spoils good games.
Now I feel that is a fair comment and a fair opinion, although I have initially generalised, I have explained this is because the problem of misusing jets is far too common. Again, I have no problems and prefer a jet to be used by a compoatant and skilled pilot if its going to help our team, but I dont think you can argue that 8 or 9 times out of 10 its not going to be, and you all know that. Its far more likely to be the little prick who has tked his team mate to get the jet and is far more interested in raking upa kill count to be concerned with wheather his team mates are on the flag he just bombed needlessly. Anyone who says otherwise or takes offense to my words must be either that type of player or have such a limited interlect that they cannot comprehend or appreciate the value of good team play games.
