but ya the rule is to basicly supress spawn rape cause we all know how rapetastical wake is
Then declare the no baseraping rule as ROE dictates it's a valid rule. Dictating what vehicles can be used and how they can be used is against the ROE. You can not tell players how they can employ the vehicles they're in. You can not just say "Okay, jeeps can only turn left, if you turn right we'll kick ya" which is almost exactly what these idiots have done with their invalid rule. Simply replace "left with "full throttle" and "right" with "any other speed".

Last I heard the Commander out of armor rule is valid as well - Commanders are supposed to command, not sit in armor in their base depriving the rest of the team the asset, but that might have changed the last time they updated.

My response wasn't about reporting either. No one HAS to report anything. My response was refuting the bullshit that "it's their server" and that they were in violation and wrong.

That's interesting. I've seen this done before but never knew there was a term for it. IMO if a pilot is skilled enough to do this effectivley without crashing or being shot down then he should be allowed to. Their rule is clearly against ROE but they can kick for it as long as no one reports them I guess.

Thanks for all the great responses and feedback guys. According to that server, I hang glide alot. I'm one of those pilots who prefer to not rely on bombs, and use the main cannon most of the time. And for me to do this effectively, I pretty much have to slow down and come in a long distance aways so I dont pass up my target before finishing it off. Its real easy to take out heli's in a couple of seconds by doing this "hang-gliding" thing without them knowing your even there until they die.

Shut up....thats a stupid assed statement. They arent restricting use of vehicles you pudding cup............they are restricting a tactic/lameness used within the vehicle.

As stated MANY times already thier server, thier ****in rules.

Better get back to your Yu-Gi-Oh! game now.........

thats pretty damned stupid there buddy. if you cant fly a jet like a normal pilot would, then you belong on the ground sucking on my shotgun barrel.

The normal BF2 pilot "flies" by slamming into random things and raping the hell out of the carrier. Meh, if he wants to fly slow, let him. Just put, "No Baserape" up. Those "hang-gliding" pilots are Eryx-fodder for me and my AT peeps.

i love when the jets fly slow like that. I have even pulled a couple aircraft kills with the JKA31 from the pilot doing that. A well placed tank blast will also do :p

Unfortunatley anyone with funds can admin a server. It takes a mature and fair individual to run a well respected server. Server owners should treat players like customers on their server. The more happy players there are the more populated your server will be. If a server is known for fair admins there can often be people waiting to get in your server. This can also help bring in donations because players will donate to servers they feel apart of and want to see stay around.

Funny how people come up with terms like this that make no sense, yet they stick to them as "rules." What the hell is wrong with flying slow? The plane WILL stall and eventually crash if you go excessively slow... so what's the problem? Slow plane = easy to hit with AT, 50cal, TV missiles, etc etc

Me, i love it when people do that. especially in the f35, trying to cap a base They'll be down in a couple of seconds from an AT rocket or even a mounted machine gun. simple target, and they cant manoeuvre for peanuts!

I do not in anyway condone the admins actions but I understand his frustration. If you can't hit anything without going 180Km/h you don't belong in a plane. However my anger is usually directed at the pilots in my own team, not shooting down a plane that's barely moving forward is horrible.
I'll second that, pilots who fly planes at APC speeds (if that) are really annoying. Annoying because I consider it a flawed game mechanic, as decreasing your airspeed to anything near that level should put you in an unrecoverable stall. Part of the skill with piloting is handling the high rate of speed and thus the very low response time you must have to target properly. I make it a point to keep my throttle up at 100%, rather than playing with a low speed handicap.

This type of exploitation happens on a regular basis on most of the servers I frequent, and is especially annoying when you're targeted by one of these pilots while in a helicopter. Take this scenario for example: You hear the cannons start firing and you expect them to be passing in less than a second, yet the cannons at still firing, still firing, and then 10 seconds later as you just explode you see this asshat flying past your death camera at 30mph. I mean really, plane cannons kill a helicopter in about a second, and I'm not even factoring in the no-skill AA missiles, how much time do you need? Is it so hard to come in for a second pass if you can't get them the first time?

I hate most servers random selection of asinine rules as much as the next guy, but if this is the "hang-gliding the server admins referred to I think you most certainly deserved your kick/ban.

well if you wanna get all technical in real life they have a whole slew of targeting devices that can destroy you with out having to slow down.

also its not like they are getting an unfair advantage, they are increasing their firepower for less protection, as in they are more at risk for getting destroyed.
