    What the hell is "hang-gliding"?

I got kicked from a server for "hang-gliding", by some clan named DoF. They didnt even care to explain to me or my friend what I was doing wrong and just booted me without a word. I wasn't even base raping, and I actually was being base raped earlier without them recieving any warning. I have a strong feeling they just kicked me only because I was the teams only hope at winning and was at 22 kills and 2 deaths flying a J10. Be cautious of these guys, they just sound like really cheesy players.

You pressed the 9 key and the parachute actually deployed. You must have been cheating.

I'm pretty sure hang-gliding is nothing. Probably just their admin thinking he was funny.

What were you doing at the time you got kicked?

I believe it has to be connected either to a parachute or very low-speed jet flying.

That's a point. It may be where you switch seats to remove the missile lock.

Could hand-gliding (not 'hang') be using a jet as transport and parachuting into far away enemy bases in double quick speed?

Never heard this one..maybe they are just trying to start a new BF2 term.

                          My guesses:

-hoving out over the Chinese airfield in the F-35 in VTOL mode using your cannons and missiles to rape the base.
-coming in at a fly from an EXTREMELY high altitude going VERY slowly so you can rape like mad with the cannons

Hang-Gliding was an exploit in BF1942.

Here's how it worked back then.

Get to the edge of the roof of a tall building, look up, straight up into the air.

Jump off and continue to press the jump key very quickly. You will not fall straight down, but you will gently glide down to the ground at a very shallow angle of descent. Its as if you were hang gliding. People used to use it to cross rivers and access normally unaccessable areas of maps.

But that was BF1942 and I seem to recall it being patched out of the game... I dont think it exists in BF2.

He said he was in the J-10 for the round. J-10s don't have two seats.
