You say you're a history student, so I would expect you of all people to be able to make the distinction between the Bill of Rights and the other 17 Amendments. I'd also expect you to realize that the US Constitution has only been amended 17 times in the past 215 years.

Stop throwing prohibition around like it's an every day occurence. Sure, it's possible that one day an amendment will be passed repealing the 2nd amendment. It's also possible that I will die in a freak accident next week. What's your point?

On topic, I would go with the MG36. I just like the way it looks.

Well, I'd say M16, but I really do have it in real life, and target shoot with it every weekend .

Well, in Canada it's illegal, but I would love the Barret 50. Sexy sniper rifle, and nothin' really stands a chance, in real life it would put the L96A1, and M14 (M-24) to shame.

Another would be the Canadian 30 cal sniper rifle. Pinpoint accuracy, it could shoot a mosquito while it was in flight However, it isn't in the game .

You can get the M24, which is a close enough version of the C3A2 anyway. The C3A2 has a synthetic stock, glass beeded barrel all built on a Mauser 98 style action.

It does however hold 6 rounds to the M24's 5.

Seriously, if I had to choose a weapon from BF2 for IRL, I'd take the FN 2000. Simply for coolness looks. It's a wicked looking firearm.

Followed by the MG36 for the same reasons.

Then the L96A1 or M24, simply because those are tack drivers in the game. Imagine the shooting competitions you could win with one if it was exactly like that IRL :)

Then the AK. Seriously, I shoot an AK competatively and it is a decent weapon system, however the acuracy it has in BF2 is GODLY.

After that, who knows but I intend to extend my collection before anymore of those Democrats start crying for some bans.

Note: I live in Oklahoma, so all the firearms above are 100% legal semi-auto sporting rifles. They are not fully-auto. However, the SBR (Short-Barreled Rifle) requires Federal Registration and I have Chief of Police approval for ownership.
Please don't stereotype, I'm Democratic and am in full support of gun rights; I don't agree with most other Republican concerns, though.

I'd love to have the G36E in real life, but then again it's probably not as good as its in-game counterpart.

No intention to offend. Thats mainly directed at Diane Fienstein and a few other people. *cough* John Kerry *cough*

The G36E is a very comfortable weapon, there is a Civilian model that shares some similaritys(sp?) but its flippin' expensive.

After reading this whole thread I must admit that I learned something.
                        Nice thread .

But I stil think that a country with no Weapons is less prone to violent killings.

After spending my entire lunch hour here at work reading this thread i will have to admit, its been good and i have a few things to say. Our(the US of freakin A) military is not a mandatory service. Without the peoples support of the government and its military then the military will have no soldiers. My second point is that no way will some nutjob be able to make it into the presidency without overcoming the US military first. This said nutjob would have to have the support of the citizens in certain states in the electoral college(which i know is screwed up)to even be elected. And to add to that point, no way will our 2nd amenment be revoked because it doesnt have the support of the people. The US Constitution was designed to be able to flex with changing times. That would be why we dont have and jackass laws about a king stealin my next door neighbor's sister's best friend's uncle's horse or whatever. My third and final point is this. I would pay big money to watch some snaggle toothed brit take down an elk or even a turkey with an airsoft rifle.
