No it's not. The M82 is semi-automatic, the M95 is bolt action.

The M95 is the updated bulpup version of the M82

The G36E. Unfortunately, it would probably cost a few thousand dollars, so I'm not going to shell out that kind of money. At this point in time, at least.

A chinese-made SK47, on the other hand, could be bought for about 150-300 dollars, extremely reliable, and relatively accurate.

What do I need an assault rifle for IRL? Making sure my government doesn't forget that the people of the U.S. controls THEM, not the other way around.

Oh, and zombie attacks. Woe to the person caught without an assault rifle on z-day.

Honestly, I get so tired of the holier than thou "I don't need a gun" rhetoric. I own guns because I like to shoot. If you are unlucky enough to live in an area of the world that does not allow you enough FREEDOM to CHOOSE if you have a gun or not I'm sorry for you. Freedom is not having to ask any one if it ok for you to have something you want. The question of "Why would you need one of those you silly Yank?" is absurd. Why would you need a 50 inch television to watch BBC? You can't see it on a 13 inch Wal-mart special? This is a question of Freedom, nothing less.

I plan on buying a M95 when I get the cash. It is a very accurate gun and a hoot to shoot from what I hear. BTW, the M95 IS a sporting gun. It was originally designed for long range target competitors and adopted by the military later.

To go postal on the birds in his garden, he'd need to find a high rise in the next neighbourhood... So disguise the weapon as a fishing rod, put the large rounds in a rucksack, haul it half a mile away. Then he finds the lift (elevator for the Yanks) doesn't work, and has to carry the gear up several flights of stairs. Sits down knacked for a while, eventually gets the weapon set up, and the bird's already ate all his grass seed and flown off.
So, feeling extra angry, our nutter decides to go to school, discovers his "fishing rod" won't fit through the school bus doors. Depressed, boy goes home, decides to kill himself, loads the weapon, but his feet don't reach the trigger... Handy those M95s. Must get one.
