I just had some fun tweaking with the .con files in bf2, and i managed to to adjust the amout of fog in the game.
Here is what i did:
WARNING: REMEMBER TO MAKE BACKUP OF YOUR FILES!!!
Go to your bf2 folder:
EA Games/Battlefield 2/mods/bf2/levels/<the level you want to use>/server.zip
Open Server.zip and extract it to a random folder.
Open the extrected folder, and open sky.con in notepad.
On the bottom of that file you will find something like:
(The numbers ar diffrent on each level)
Change this to:
Save, and put it back to the server.zip
Then open the game, and start singleplayer.
Here is my result (I only tried Karkand)

NOTE: YOU MUST NOT TRY TO JOIN MULTIPLAYER SERVERS WHEN USING THESE SETTINGS!!!
I dont know if this was useful to you, but enjoy it anyway
If you find a setting thats better than mine, please post it here
(Thanks BadLizzard for reopening my thread :))
