i thought i read somewhere that it was "suppose" to run better than bf2.

Why would DICE develope a new engine to BF2142? They will not. They will use the BF2 engine to its max. Maybe they have tweaked the BF2 engine a little in BF2142 so it runs better.

For my part I will buy it just because it got my interest. I like the history in BF2142 and I like the idea behind 2142.

I will buy AF cus its only $10 and wont have much more bugs than the original. (and the maps are very cool) btw I wont buy VF2142 not cus its EA product but cus I dont like the atmoshpere of it...

well ill give you an answer, ive spent about 400 hours ranked and unranked in BF2, now for 50 dollars do you think its worth it. i have fun when im playing, i mean ya im not happy with EA but overall its a great game. i bet youve played for a long enough time ti say its worth 50 buck. this is my most played game ever

I'm not interested in these realisim mods, I'm sure there's a lot of people who do, more power to them.

All you have to do is take a look at the PC selection of FPS games right now, ones that are popular anyway. We're in a drought of good games, summer is slow for PC releases and AF will keep things going another few months.

I guess this fall we'll see how things shape up, I wouldn't be surprised if some games don't get pushed back clear till first of next year though. BF2142 will hit its street date bugs and all, but since I don't really have any major issues with BF2 and never really have (other than the server browser sucking) as long as they don't strip out the support for external server browser I'll buy 2142 and play the crap out of it too.

Look, we're all obsessed enough with this game to actually go to forums dedicated to the game! That says a lot to me, lol.

Yes we bitch and moan about the things done to it that we don't like, but in the end we love this game or we would not play it, and certainly would not spend time on forums for it.
