Why?

If its one thing that troubles me the most is people these days seam to have such low standards when it comes to software.

Would you buy a car knowing that last one you bought from the same company was in constant need of repair? Unlikely.

Would you fly a plane knowing that previous planes made my the same company constantly crashed? Unlikely.

So why do you buy software knowing that the companies previous versions were buggy to the point of being unplayable for a lot of people?

well, honestly ya, thats the main reason. i have a job, i have money to spend, and im willing to spend it on SOMETHING i like.

so far i like bf2 and dice in general so im guessing i will like bf2142

what company are you talking about anyway? EA or Dice?

The software works fine for me, and apparently it works fine for other people because there are thousands online at any given time. As long as I have the money to spend, that's enough for me.

Because this is a game, and I don't spend my time ranting or searching for bugs, are not bothered by them to the point that others are, and simply sit back and enjoy what I have, have fun.

Because I like the Battlefield series and don't give a fly **** what people like you think.

I'm looking forward to 2142 and I will buy it and play it. I've purchased many crap games in the past and I didn't go on any rampage, I just stopped playing it.

maybe your standards are to high. i dont see why people would like hitman, but its still the no.1 game atm. maybe your standards are to high? and my cost per minute for bf2 is less than 1p a minute, expansions included. thats not value for money?

I plan on buying AF.

I will do so because its cheap at only $10.00US. But this isn't the main reason why.

Its because no other game has kept my interest for so long where I have put in so many hours of online playing time.

The game is simply the best for modern day combat in the virtual world. BF2 looks great and simply offers great variety within its universe; Everything from the different vehicles, weapons and player kits. I get to employ varying tactics when playing and I love the teamplay aspect of the game when playing with clan members and to my surprise, even in public servers as of late which is very pleasent to say the least.

Some people play for the 'e-bling" and others like myself simply play the game because its fun and of a genre that I enjoy.

I will not be getting BF2142 for that very reason. I enjoy the Modern Combat Genre and will leave the Mechs to games like MechWarrior and the later C&C games. Both of which were great games but I am stuck on my Modern Day Combat these days.
