I noticed on some other forums that people who installed the Incremental patch were experiencing the lions share of problems.

I actually ment to post it before the patch came out, but it managed to blindside me (my little birdy was late).

Corruption through incremental patching is a predictable behaviour.

What if they don't bring out another patch Imho 1.22 was better.. I should have signed the petition against squadhopping this is way too worse I thought it would have been less worse but it's madness.. Now I even don't want to join squad no more.. :|:

EA/Dice Bring us a patch! :p

I still love the game despite the bugs, I love the gameplay, I love the vehicles.. But what I don't love is these new "Fixes" with the patch though I still love the game..

Claim: Nerfing Squadhopping has killed teamwork

Observation: It has done the opposite. Now squads simply MUST be able to work together. A lone SL is a dead SL and thus a major problem for the squad. Teamwork is now more important than ever since you need to keep that SL alive. You need to cover him, have a medic handy for revives, move carefully to avoid giving his position away if he's hiding. This is a whole new skill set based on in-game teamwork. I suggest folks start practicing.

Evidence: A couple great rounds I just played were I was SL and my mates did a fantastic job of supporting me. I haven't had so much fun with BF2 in a long time. This isn't exactly evidence since I'm basing it on personal opinion/experience, but you get the idea (I hope).

Claim: Dice/EA only cares about pubbers/noobs

The only freaking problem. it's public play and no walhalla or something if you want really teamwork. then clans are the best way. but DIce don't understand that and noobs don't understant also that clan play is heaven for teamwork. instead whining about something like this.

Lucky you I guess, I had 8 CTD's and 6 server crashes within a couple of hours. But according to some around here I am just seeing things that are not there. Yeah right

Server crashes=YES, CTD's=NO, not yet.
I had CTD's before the patch. Not later then last week, I got myself a new LCD monitor and right after install, no more BF2. CTD! Other games were ok. After looking around in .dmp files, I discovered 1280x1024 at 85Hz, instead of 60Hz (because I use a DVI input). I changed it and solved the problem.

Agreed 200%, had 2 CTD right after install though. But never forget, no matter if you have no Exploits whatsoever or keep Crashing all the Time, BF2 has a huge Community and the past did show that they care about us, even though it takes sometimes a while, i cheer to all the guys and gals that spent their time and effort to improve this game, Moviesmaker, Mod Teams and also the Professionals from EA and Dice.

No one is saying that you aren't having problems.
What we're saying is that it's very likely that your problems have nothing to do with Dice/EA suckage. Rather than burning your time being mad at Dice, you would be much better off trying to figure out what is wrong and attempting to resolve it.

Yea right if my favorite server cashs 6 times it has nothing to do with EA/Dice
and how would it be possible if you didn't had CTD before and now I get 5 CTD yesterday

I am a clanner. I do play with my clan. We do use teamwork.
However, I also play with a lot of pubbers. Saying you don't get teamwork in pubs is complete BS. There's regs on the server that I know I can count on... and they know they can count on me. I make a squad and I've got people following me in no time.

I've never been much for squad hopping in pubs, but people followed me even before the patch. It's really fruggin statisfying to own the s:censored:t out of clan squads that are hopping like mad while you're leading a rag-tag bunch of pubbers who happen to know what they're doing.

bf2 CTD now and its not my computer before 1.3 it was all fine thats my real problem i hope that they fix it soon

Did it occur to you that the server may have been mis-configured or improperly patched?

Haven't had a problem with the R2 server.

how would PTG city maps can misconfigure there server.
they have on of the best servers around this globe for battlfield 2

Just did a PB update because it was suggested somewhere around here. I also remember something about cache clearing ? Never had problems before so I am trying to get it going. Jst had a server crash again so thats why I am back here :) I used the incremental patch because I dont have all the CD's of BF2 here so I cannt do a clean install atm untill the weekend. But incremental or full, it shouldnt make any difference. They are both offered to the community and should both work.

So i saw a post on some obscure forum somwhere that in no way compares to the awesome TotalBF2.com

how would PTG city maps can misconfigure there server.
they have on of the best servers around this globe for battlfield 2

Maybe its not patched correctly? It don't matter if you are the most awesome, bestest, super dooper, amazing and downright greatest server on the whole globe you can still patch it wrong and trust me you can set things up wrong easily enough.

A tired server admin or configurator can make 1 simple mistake and *poof* there goes the amazing PTG server.

Why do you keep trying to defend this garbage patch? You're telling me your server browser works correctly?

Since patching today I've gotten two CTD's connecting to Mashturr. I tried to connect agian and got in...

The servers I played on have crashed several times today.

This is the worst patch of the BF series to date.

This patch didn't fix any major issues at all.

yes so as other 1000 servers around who are crashing all day.
and this information is from a guy who rent more then 300 bf2 servers

Mine does, yes the refresh button has gone A.W.O.L but all works fine for me.

I think the problem is that EA/DICE released the patch early because of the 3000 posts demanding its release NOW! and not when they were ready.

The community bitches and whines about the fact the way a new patch, they scream till they are blue in the face because they want something fixed NOW! but they dont think is the patch ready?

No do EA/DICE release a 90% completed patch now and think we will do a 1.31 over the next few days and fix the last 10% just to keep these impatient buggers happy.
