I'm not going to pull out the old "quit bitching" montager that many users here like to use in face of the criticism of the patch, as It's sites like these where players are allowed to bitch about what they don't like, but all I can say is this: You can either get used to it and continue playing, or leave. EA Isn't going to listen to your demands; you're a very small fraction of the Battlefield 2 community. Your only choice is to adapt your playing style in clan matches to better suit the new playing environment.

I said the game is slow, that's my EDUCATED opinion on this patch.

"Quit bitching" about a broken game?? How about, NO.

We paid for this game, and we expect it to WORK. "Cartillery" and "Squad Hopping" aside....

- The server browser is f*cked.
- Many people experiencing CTD's, over and over.

Just those TWO things should be enough for the bitching to be valid, not to mention all the OTHER broken things about the game that I've failed to mention in this short post.

Feels like Tribes 2, Tribes Vengeance all over again. So tired of companys sending Beta's out to stores and not finishing them. Funny thing is peeps wont admit to that they hate the new game play to protect there E++ forum status. lol see how long that last if you guys were at www.tribalwar.com. I don't exactly think you read my post closely enough. I specifically said that I wasn't going to tell people to "quit bitching", as I feel that is what forums like this are for. Neither did I downplay the various problems this patch has introduced, as I have experienced the crashes myself. All i'm saying is that we're all just going to have to get used to the game without squad hopping/cycling; EA has never flinched in the face of any kind of criticism. While they may offer a kind word or two to show their side of the story, there's a snowball's chance in hell that they'll ever cave into complaints from the community. After all, we're only a small fraction of the Battlefield 2 userbase -- what the hell does our opinion matter to a corporate giant like EA?

Guess I misunderstood, my apologies.

I'll get used to the cartillery and squad hopping, but I can't tolerate the GLARING problems with the server browser and CTD's. =\

I'm all the way with you there, man. Personally I'm holding out on EA fixing the problems in a hotfix right before AF is released.

I really hope so. I think Squad Hopping should be a server side selection, and that would make most people happy. Clan guys can have their servers their way, pubbers will have it our way.

Squad Hopping being server-side would be awesome, but considering the fact that EA has tagged it as an exploit, It's unlikely to happen. I'll hope for it just as much as everybody else, but we have to be realistic. EA hasn't flinched in the past about anything. All it takes is one forum post supporting them and they'll claim that that post represents the entire community.

yep. I had the commander doing that and the ability to drop constant supplies.

Maybe its just be, but I haven't noticed any difference at all. If some players don't have the new patch installed, are they able to play with those that do ?

I may be in the minority, but I think the vehicle drops are an improvement. I have seen time and again, where someone will drive off by themselves, knowing damn well there are others around that need a ride. Then you spend a lot of wasted time either waiting for a vehicle to appear, or walking. I play this game to fight not to walk.

Im leaning towards the squad issues being serverside options as well, that way, both groups could be satisfied.

But the squad problem should have been solved long ago, long, long ago, with all the other bugs.

All in ALL, BF2 still rocks my socks....=v)

Yes the browser sucks now, but I don't mind the missing Refresh button. It was pretty worthless. It refreshes at the same speed as just Updating the whole list.

Yeah squadhopping was never really the biggest problem or any problem with this game.

At times it was frustrating, but this is much MUCH worse.

I mean I die and then I have to walk like 5 miles on foot to get to the fighting just to be artied I mean wtf this sucks.

Il die and then I want to go to carrier on chinese side so il try to join squad 3 (which is heli going to carrier) but NOOOO it won't let me so I have to respawn and join squad 3 and die AGAIN just to spawn on the heli....

I hope all you idiot noobs who wanted this are now happy...

Patch 1.3 sucks. It's been said time and again and we all agree. Stupid squad "fix" has ruined team aggression.

On the brighter side, no longer any need for "high-points" servers as all maps will go on and on and on and on and on and on and...
