you can practice on op clean sweep in single player mode. it's hard to get one of those lame bots to fly with you, though, but if you do, it's a great way to practice. get the bf2sp64 mod too so you can play on 64 player maps instead of those dinky 16 player maps.

the good pilots don't even have to use bombs most of the time in the two seaters. the gun is a lot of fun to get kills with. it takes practice and patience but once you start taking out apcs with guns you get hooked. most pilots drop their 5 bomb load, then run back to reload, leaving you with less chances to get kills. if your pilot is good he will use guns a lot setting you up for more kills since he's taking the time to strafe the same targets.

i was in the missle seat once....either we passed by so quicky i couldnt get a lock, or so quick that by the time i got a lock, we passed before i could fire.

i ended up just getting dizzy :|:

one thing though, they were suppose to fix locking on to friendlies with the laser lock missiles. post-patch i have killed several when passing what i'm locked onto, and it actually bypasses what i've locked onto and kills the friendly.

wow guys, lemme take that back, I flew with this guy for a couple of minutes and I took 3 guys out like nothing, it seemed so easy, I always found those hard to use, I guess i was wrong

Actually back when I was like a pvt, was when I first hopped in a jet, I was the co-pilot and racked up about 25 kills in that round from taking out APC's and Tank's. Also got my Cabin crew ribbon if thats what its called?

Heres a quick users guide...

You need a good piolit who flys strait at targets.

Never aim away from the nose of the plane you can look around but if you try to shoot anything off to the left or right your missile will not hit.

Keep that box on your target why? The laser guided are also camera guided if you take the box off of your locked on target you will miss 90% of the time. And fly twards where the camera is aimed.

If you get good with these and have a good piolit the enemy wont have a vehicle alive the entire game.

i love those planes... you do need a nice pilot though... he needs 2 fly a bit high over the skys in a straight line... you will c round dots you need 2 focus on, in the end you will here "i Have got him locked" (or someting) then just click and you got a kill.. (or 2)

What I like to do is "paint" a target with guns if I don't have VOIP going. If I'm not mistaken, the pilot can see armor boxes before the copilot can in the bomber. Anyway, I find this approach works pretty well.

Dude, this is the second thread I read today from you whining about something. CO-Pilots missiles OWN. If I cant get the pilot seat of a bomber, I am satisfied witht he co-pilot seat because its so fun. If youre not that good just sit there and get driver kill assist points from the kills your pilot gets. You just need to learn how to use them, just like TV Guided missiles in choppers. I have a friend of mine that always co-pilots with me in Oman, and we average about 80 points per round all the time.

Theyre useful too even if ur not locking in to a target. Once you become an expert with these bombs you can time your release and kill infrantry, something it doesnt lock on to.
