Re: Are aircraft out of balance?

the essex, stingers and mobile AA can easily kill a jet. ground troops have plenty of chance to kill. although i hate the way you cant get away from missiles most of the time its probably as fair and as good as its going to get.
there will always be some ****ing idiots that cry like babies and want the planes to die instantly, but tbh who gives a **** about babies like that?

if i had my way i would:

do something about the f18 dodging all missiles.. which even the j10 cant do
S2A not being able to turn as much
f35.. well its slow, but its a carrier jet so should be slow...
A2A yet again, not being able to turn so much, bombers and f35's can be pretty easy meat
    flares need to work
missile tone shouldnt be on for a lock, but for when a missile has been fired.

also why do AA missiles last forever? ive been chased from one end of the map to the other by them, they should have been scaled down with the rest of the other crap, like tv missiles halflife.
    selective realism tbh :/

      1. becouse they suck and dont want to practise
      2. becouse they dont have a joystick so they suck

      Or possibly perhaps...

3: because there are 34 team members and only 2 planes so they get very little chance to practice in combat.

2 good jetpilots is enough to win the round, why bother ?!

          voted for "Somewhat Agree"
If the pilot who is flying the plane is trained an infantry-soldier got no real chance to destroy it.

Voted "somewhat agree" - my issue isn't so much w/the balance, but I get tired of watching our planes bomb ground targets to hell and back while their planes do the same to us.... How about some dogfighting?

lol, I think you just summed up the "nerf jets" argument... or if it is more palatable, the "Buff AA" argument.

In any case, the opinions are piling up faster than a J10's frags.

                  OK,

In general the aircraft are balanced. But here are some suggestions.

                  1. Make all fighter aircraft the *same* i.e. make it pilot skill+luck not plane type that will determine the winner in a dog fight. The J-10 is too powerful vs the F-18C/D or the F-35B given equal pilots. (Face it the REAL Chinese J-10 has yet to take off.)

                  2. Also make all the Fighter-Bombers the *same*. (The F-15E in the game is a slug compared to the Su-34, Su-30 AND the F-15E in the real world.)

                  3. Add an unlock for the AT kit for a shoulder carried stinger. The fixed gun positions on the maps are too easy for the pilots to kill. A single stinger cannot bring down an undamaged jet, but multiple hits can. (same as tanks and APC's)

                  4. Make flares an expendable item, not a time-delay item. I.e. you can pop off multiple rounds of flares but then have to go and re-arm just like missles and bombs.

                  5. The mobile AA is fine the way it is.

In Karkand it is enough to have 2 superb APC drivers to win the round, in sqóhrqui its enought to have a good pilot and a good gunner for the chopper, there is nothing special about jets...
So theris nothing wrong with jets vs ground units nor f-35 - J-10 since I there are a plenty of maps other than pla vs USMC and a lot a of noobs who can takek the advantage of the J10....

i think that is AA was increased to fog distance than it would be more ballenced.

you know ea aint gonna dd any thing after this next patches tere will be no more big patches until new bf comes out. So nothing major will happen aside from some tweks so enough with give inf stingers etc.

You are obviously a pilot with his mind set on rationalization, so I will offer a friendly counter-point...

APC's on Karkand (since you brought them up) are vulnerable to AT rockets, AT Mines, and C4 and given the fact that roof access is so readily available, the AT kits are a particularly fussy situation.

And also, an APC cant zip back to the carrier/airstrip for a repair/rearm fly-by.

But again, I'm just offering devil's advocate arguments. (that happen to make a fair amount of sense if I do say so myself.)

                              the count so far...

63.23% say they either Strongly or Somewhat agree that aircraft are out of balance.

29.41% say they either Strongly or Somewhat disagree that aircraft are out of balance.

                              7.35% dont know.

                              2.15:1 margin so far.

no it just goes back to a supply crate or another tank and repairs itself at a faster rate than a plane.
