I can't honestly say I have ever seen somebody I am even inclined to think is cheating in BF2 ever.

I think that the number of cheaters and stat padders is increasing every day, because they are realizing that nothing will happen if they get caught anyway. People like IndianScout may deny this argument as much as they want to, but the fact is that the number of those that did get punished is insignificant compared to the ones that are still padding like crazy. In the mean time the little ordinary people like myself look like fools.

the only real cheater I've ever encountered is FH-danny. He could solo TV a rotating jeep 5 meters away. Turn out his clan mates claimed that he was using aimbot. by the way, he is also my worst enemy, so check my status to check his.

I own medium (32) server. I own good PC now (not a high-end one, but anyway). And low (less than 10) ping. So they often call me a cheater. But
            I'm not.

I haven't EVER seen any cheater (before pb was enabled one good guy confessed in using wallhack - he was just not better than me so I paid no attention) . Maybe because they don't make games or not ranking high in results. If I see someone EXTRAORDINARY GOOD - I'll start screenshot capturing (pb allows!), find the cheater and bring him here for lynching %)

Summary: stop wining, be a proper cheater: buy a good pc, best internet connection as possible and do a good teamwork job, that's for what US/MEC/China army pays you

Ya well having a awesome pc helps...a lot. So does having a awesome ping. Whats this means is: a person with a better pc/ping or both will have the initiative vs you. Don't like it...buy a x-box.

I'm sure there are plenty of cheaters (i'm sure i've encountered more than a few) however, running around calling everyone a cheater is just as bad a cheating itself.

I played 5 games last night. On one round I played, I scored in the low 100's and i only had 6-8 deaths. Next closest person was at high 50's in score. I had one great round out of 4 (average at best rounds) and now I'm a cheater?

Some of you all need to get some skills. As much as EA trys to help you out with noob kits (aka sniper class) inwhich you still get pwned gives you no right to call everyone with the least bit of "skill" cheaters.

Point is: if you aren't takeing screenshots...stfu before you call people a cheaters And yes...screen-shots and video are still the best way of proving someone is cheating.

I cheated my way through the last half of Doom 3 (yeah, believe it or not I sucked at that game), and when I finished, I was not satisfied, fulfilled, or whatever. Like pYura said, I got bored because cheating is not exciting, you already know you're gonna own. It's kinda like jerking off when you have a hot woman around...end result is the same, but what's the point.

                  The answer is 'Yes'.

Cheating is running rampant right now, especially on the popular servers. I didn't use to believe that people were hacking, but now it's obvious that they are.

It's too bad, because all the cheating is spoiling an otherwise awesome game - my favorite game of all time, in fact.

                  RIP BF2

DAMN! What's wrong with you people? I told you: NO CHEATERS on servers with punkbuster enabled! No strange deaths, no strange behaviour etc, no unknown people that rank high.

Cheaters are in in every game unfortunatley. The bottom line for me anyway is that I play the game and participate on these and many other forums. It's for fun. I will not put all the time in doing these things for my "reputation" or my groups to be tarnished because of an aimbot, wallhack or any other little script that some basement bandit has created.

I have only accused one group of players of cheating since I've been playing this game. Turns out I was 100% correct.

I was on a clan server and kept getting single shot killed by a few palyers with the same tag. After about 4 mins. I was 3 -18? I said "Nice hack guys". Of course the verbs and colorful metaphors began to fly. I didn't accuse anyone in particular, but the responses came from the guilty players.......all with the same clan tag.

Sooooo.......a few days later I was thinking about it and checked their stats on bf2player.com. All of their stats had been reset.

I think PB does a good job and for most of the servers I have played on I have never seen a big issue of cheating.
