I agree with you Nayml3ss.

I didn't say that I'm awesome or "uber" in tank fights,I just said that it's the best I can use in this game.And I just recently started playing the game online,I don't spend my life playing it like others do and when I played and used the tanks most of the times I was pretty good at it.When you have like an Abrams and 2 LAVs against you and have a dozen enemy soldiers with anti-tank weapons and c4 trying to get you,eventually no matter how good you are you will lose.And most of the times I prefer to die inside the tank.

Not always though...I also get out of the tank before it explodes sometimes (almost always with other vehicles)and continue playing.

And I'm not killing my teammates on purpous people,it was JUST that guy.Relax!

if a n00b is useless with a vehicle and theres someone better around that can make better use of it then the n00b should give it up or be tk'ed, because the game is usually lost when idiots fly the planes/choppers or use tanks.

i see it every 2nd round (where i cant spawn first as everyone has already loaded the map) mr n00b takes the plane on oman dies in <1min and the airport is baseraped so no one can get a plane in the air and we end up loosing the game. similar things happen on other maps. not fair on the team is it ?

then the annoying low ranker that see's you waiting for a vehicle and comes to try and get it first (despite you waiting ages), if he gets it, he dies pretty quick and is back again, the enemies then have less people attacking them and start winning, you tell him your making our team loose and that your better with your 30-1 k:d or whatever and he ignores you. if its worth the tk then go for it :)

and yes i do give up vehicles if there are better people wanting to use it, but thats really only the choppers, i can fly planes great and tank fine. a few people give up their pilot seat in the bomber for me cause they know they will kill lots, get lots of points and rarely die, now thats great sportsmanship and teamplay imo.

I play any vehicle really, I really only play Wake for vehicles, so if the J10 is taken I go for the heli (funny how someone gets in and hits f2 right away and spams hop in) if thats taken then the tank if thats taken I take the transport heli fly to the island blow up the assets then fly the transport heli to the carrier go in side the carrier from bailing out the transport heli then usually have my M95 snipe someone out the JSF and take it.

Really I don't mind wheather I have the J10 or the JSF, but I hate people who claim there top dogs in the jet yet they just J10 whore all of the time..., lately I have been playing on Wake trying to get my w/l ratio up and try get the PLA medal. Good pilots use all jets be it the J10, JSF, MIG or the euro fighter. I use all of them. Metallica is a really good pilot.

Ok,so you're good at using a vehicle or something else in the game VERY WELL.I mean come on man,some people use airplanes and petrify their opponents,some others are killing machines inside helicopters,others just go on a killing spree when using a tank.I'm one of these tank guys.

Using the T-90 tank is the best think I can do in this game.I may not be the best,since I just started playing multiplayer and it sure it different than playing with bots,but heck I do far more damage when I'm inside a tank rather than using anything else.And especially the T-90 tank is the one that I can use the best and I have proved many times online that I can be really good at it.Well don't you guys just HATE it when guys who are total noobs in using a vehicle or just want a transport go and take it and you look at them running in front of you getting it first when you have placed yourself in that spawn point to get that specific vehicle?

Well of course you'll tell me "Chill out dude,it's a game,we should all have fun and use all the vehicles" but then again isn't that the best for the team?For the best guy in something to use that something for the team to win?I've asked or yelled at people so many times during a game to LEAVE the tank or get off the tank but rarely anyone heard me.Some guys did and I proved to them how good I am at using it.Right now I was playing in a server and there was a guy who "stole" the tank from me once,then was about to take it again,and when i took it and didn't give him a lift he fired with the anti-tank gun and destroyed the tank with me in it.Then he got it again and I was so ****ed off that I acted like a child,I planted c4 on the tank and told him to get off...he didn't so I blew the tank up and then he started a kick vote against me.

Have you ever had any cases where you can't get the vehicle or helicopter that you can kick ass with all the time because of some morons who wanna have it their way?

How can someone steal your tank? It is not your tank and does not have your name on it :laugh:

AlphaCue,i teamkilled that guy because he ****ed me off pretty badly and i was gonna quit anyway to go to sleep.So I take it that you've never been ****ed in your life and you never killed a teammate on purpose when you're angry?

Please explain what constitues being a 'tank whore'. Is it someone who rakes up tons of kills in armor and doesn't get killed?

To me, that's just being a really good player.

I think people who use the 'vehicle whore' term are way too liberal with it. It seems to be a knee jerk reaction to having someone beat you to the tank/plane.

you get called a tank/chopper/plane whore when you kill loads of people with it and get the usual kick vote against you.
imo i only see tanks and choppers being extreme whoring machines, by sitting at an enemy flag making no effort to cap it, just getting the kills as people spawn.

Well I think the same but its different if your in a tank and your using it, you get out to repair and someone hops in and drives off, thats a pain in the ass, so I just don't get out and repair anymore, just ask for supplies.

I suggest playing on a different server then. By the way, that's not tank whoring - it's spawn camping, and it can be done with a pistol as well.

ive had people steal it when im repairing it, laying mines or getting health/ammo. i ask nicely for it back and they ignore me. they last about 2mins and when we respawn i tk them and tell them not to steal tanks, it gets the message accross.

I suggest playing on a different server then. By the way, that's not tank whoring - it's spawn camping, and it can be done with a pistol as well.

and i dont have it happen to me often, because im not one of those people that live at the hotel on karkand :laugh:

Yeah thats different if you get out to repair, i agree it is your tank then. But if you spawn and expect your tank to be there and someone else gets in, thats just tough. If your not fast your last!

my definition of a tank whore...and this could be just me...is someone who plays a map only for the tank. If someone else takes("steals") it they just stand around waiting for them to die and the tank to respawn, instead of helping out their team some other way. I see all too many of these on maps like karkand (with tanks) and wake (with j10s), cause I'm usually anti-tank and I always end up killing the same guy in the tanks every time. And the rounds where I don't see them in the tanks, they have either 0 for their score, or something very pathetic.

so you have to give everyone a chance, althought sometimes the person sucks why dont you try something else out once in a while instead of say waiting for that person to die and just stay by the spawn.

yup...the type of ppl who would rather die in the tank so they can respawn with it......they get mad when someone 'steals' a tank that happens to be 'theirs'....they consider it theirs when they've been whoring it all round, and when someone else wants a quick run with it, its stealing.....lol
