I guess it should not have any negative impact on game.
wrong. if you are gunner in a chopper and the pilot gets sniped out, you should be able to switch to pilot. stfu and stop trying to get them to change the game...

One more thing, since Im the most vocal person that actually has any experience with military AirCraft (Air Force Vet). Im gonna add this info. "In Real Life", thats right I said it, you dont have to switch seats in the Air Craft the controls are redundant. Meaning you can fly and use the weapon systems from both positions, you wont have all the weapons officers extra toys in the pilots position but you can defend yourself if he is taken down. The reason for 2 people is that in battle there is just to much going on for one person to deal with. Remember though the only resembelence BF2 bears to real Life is purely accidental. . . . . . .Red

I can't wait to see if solo chopper pilots plummet with v1.3

Red, usually are both officers qualified to fly a chopper? (just curious, would like to know) And in the same time, both qualified gunners?

If 'SOLOing' becomes impossible, you'll see a REAL difference between good pilots and the dominating ones: those of us who can actually use hellfires precisely will still own... but we'll be a little limited because of the whiners. At that point, they'll complain that hellfires do too much damage and that's when I'll climb a fcuking belltower...

You know what ? At this point, I wouldn't put it past them to actually consider such a request. Seriously stupid...

yes, they both can engage the guns and missiles. this is redundant in case one is unconscious or killed. that's why rl shouldnt be brought into the argument.

regardless, ive grown tired of all the changes, and its time to move on. whether i play or not its going to keep changing to someone elses idea of fun. the community has kept me hanging on this long, but it is changing also.

Just when I thought there was nothing more to whine about someone comes up with this.

Would you remove bunny hopping from quake 3?
                        Crouching down hills in Tribes?
                        Gravity Gun jumping in HL2DM?

Stop changing every f*cking aspect of the game, removing it's personality because you refuse to do those things yourself.

Imagine if people started whining that footballers should only be allowed to use their right foot!

A game has rules, follow them, don't change them
