Oh yeah and for those military pictures, that happens, people throwing rocks and boulders at troops in Iraq, they are there doing there job trying to help that country and they get crap like that? so Iraqi's are allowed to assault the troops with minor objects but the troops cannot retaliate pshh.

im still going to get one as what ive seen of the sony press conferance impressed me more that borrowing my mates 360 for a week and playing it in HD... hooking up your psp as a riev view mirror in F1 is a very neat trick too... i like that.

not to mention the fact it looks so much better than the 360

CONSIDER THIS

the future of pc gaming = Live Anywhere, a xbox live style network system, xbox 360 players and pc players plays together in near future, with halo 3, shaduw run, huxley, Warhammer, maybe halo 2 and more games to come with crossplatform

this will mean : better service, better servers ( huxley has 5000 players !! )

What has PS3 ? NO RUMBLE PACk, NO 160 MILLION gamers ( xbox + pc = over 160 mil. ) not real good exclusives , i mean, GTA is coming to 360, unreal tournament 2007, it has huxley, it has halo 3 etc. etc.

and motion sensing ? xbox 360 gets a xbox camera, not only a webcam, no it is also motions sensing, remember on gamespot ? " microsoft has patent on new motion sensing technology" , the camera can scan your face and put it as game character, it can see your movement, you will be able to duck in aciton games, just by moving etc. etc.

and grahpics, c´mon , it has the same quality just the price difference and the future is brighter by Live anywhere

and the ps3 will do 1080P compared to the 1080I of the 360 so thats your graphics stuffed too :p

GT4 is way way better than PGR let alone gt5

i have GT on my PS2 and it sucks, its no adrealine racer like PGR3 or Need for Speed

1080P doesnt say things getting better, its only a output format for a ultra hdtv , that doesnt excist, well it does excist but no body has it,

can you hook your PS3 on your pc monitor ?

i play 360 games on pc monitor in HD

and cmon 60 $ a year for online gameplay, and its for Live anywhere
it is worth it for 200 Player battles instead of crappy controller with no rumble and missfeeling of the 2 sticks ( just like PS2 ) 16 matches with crappy Sony Live ( wich is very BETA ) xbox live is 100 % clan / friends / community friendly

Well, on Xbox Live Silver you can do anything except play multiplayer. What Sony has actually announced is that they're pushing the emphasis to the publishers to figure out what they want to charge. They have said, "we're not going to charge you" - but if you truly believe that the publishers are going to build data centres, build user interfaces, network stacks, run bandwidth costs, egress costs, do compatibility with every provider around the world... For free?

I do believe we'll be seeing a price to play games online for the PS3.. just nothing has been announced. Notice, we havn't seen anything new about the online, not even at e3.. What are they holding back?

About Xbox live, you ONLY need it to play multyplayer. (as said already) Downloading movie trailers, game trailers, game demos, music videos ect is all free with the silver account. Everything like that, Xbox live arcade ect.

Now for the PS3 itself, what makes it worth $200 more? 40 more gigs? You don't need 60 gigs, sorry, 20 is fine for me and my 360 right now. How about Blue ray? What if it flops? Movie makers stop producing their movies in blue ray format? What a waste then... Cell processing? It's been said by developers that the ps3 IS harder to develop for. Just like the ps2 was versus the xbox, it's going to be easier to churn out better graphics with the 360. As evident already.

You are paying for unproven hardware. Sorry, but it's true. You ARE taking a risk when you buy a ps3.

Do you honestly believe the general gaming community will be paying $700+ for the PS3? Most people thought the 360 was expensive, and still do.

An extra controller: $50

total to play the ps3: $710

A 360: $400

A game: $60

An extra controller $50

total to play the 360: $510

That is was the general, casual gamer will see.

And if you really need a high def player, the 360 is comming out with the HD-DVD player.

join the bright future of 360 , a proven succes, so for 5,5 million units sold, soon 10 million units, and holiday sessions will come, with alot of great games

also, 4,5 games per xbox 360 owners is owned. according to this, xbox 360 is the first great selling console ever, and it doenst excist yet a year,

do you know what halo 2 brought up in the first day of release ?

125 million $, in 1 day

and halo 3 will be close to that in the first day, especially when xbox 360 gets
price drop

interesting to note that no one has come into this thread extoling the virtues of the Wii.....

its all speculation at the end of the day till we get our hands on one and start getting proper reviews from ordianry people not geeks spouting technobabble.

i will certainlly be giving it a long hard look as im going to be buying either the 360 or the ps3 at xmas time and yes i do have a lovely 42" HDTV to play it on so ill leave my pc monitor for what it was suppoed to do... bieng connected to a PC

The PS3 really doesn't have much to offer game wise and is adding too much tech for its own good. Now that the GTA series is shared by PS3 and xbox360, there's no reason to buy a PS3 unless you're into those rpgs and japanese games.
