Re: Anybody try GhostRecon: Advanced Warfighter yet?

its not your systems causing the low fps, I guess the nvidia drivers like the guy above said, it ran like crap even on low settings, I was getting 10-20 fps, and I have a athlon 64 at 2.61ghz, 2gigs ram, and 7800gt. Iam using 81.89 drivers though, Iam gonna upgrade to the new 84.25 ones. Anyway on topic I kinda liked the game, I think its gonna be a sick online game for people using voice communication. I'll try these new drivers and try the demo out again. I might buy it if I want to, I've kinda been looking for a new game since bf2 is kinda lame now with the patches plus its getting old and boring.

I played both the demo and the full game. Conclusion : Mediocre game. Much worse optimization than BF2. And it's not too fun. Rogue Spear and Raven Shield was MUCH better.

I disliked the game fairly strongly and don't even consider it to be worthy to download.

          -Bad graphics
          -Bad AI
          -Messed up movement
          -Worthless teammates
-very long load times (AMD64 3500+ 1GB RAM X800pro worthless IDE harddrive)

The only Swedish game companys that are worth noting are: Starbreeze (chronicles of riddick), Massive (Ground Control) and maybe, just maybe DICE.

But it doesn't allow any jumping!!!! So no darn hoppers. You know, the way of play that ruined BF2.

Aside from the long load times argument, I agree completely. The game felt like a weak shooting gallery with teammates that never moved where I wanted them to. I'd tell them to move to a certain spot and cover me, and they would run straight out into the open and get shot. Eventually I would just kick the desk and gun all my teammates down.

That's to say nothing of the weak, console-style checkpoint save system that turns what would be an easy, boring game into an unnecessarily difficult, boring game.

I've played the XBOX360 version of the game and it has better graphics and way better gameplay than the PC version.

I have it and love it. If you dont like the bots, just start a coop MP game and play by yourself. It will give you a challenge, only downer is if you die, you have to start over . I dont see what people are saying on the frame rates falling. i play it and never see a lag. I have it on all high, and 1280 x 1024. Sys. 3500+ with 2 gigs of OCZ memory, 7800GTX 256. and it all seems to run fine for me.

that's because you have a 7800GTX. I bet you don't lag with BF2 neither. While I don't lag with BF2 with texture high and 2XAF on, I get around 15 fps on all low at GRAW. additionally, I have ATI card, not Nvidia, so it's not just a driver problem, it's extremely lousy optimization.

what ATI card do you have? Many games have had poor driver support and the respective company (ATI or Nv) put out a new driver pretty quick which boosted performance.

I'm running an Athlon64 3200+, 2GB of PC3200, and an ATI AIW9800Pro and I see 70 fps on the GRAW demo on low. I haven't had time to futz with the settings yet. I haven't had a problem with the optimization.........

FRAPS - I didnt know this thing could make movies to. I might make a short clip for you guys. ^.^ *if I can figure it out*

I have A64 32+, 1GB of ram, and also ATI 9800 Pro, I would get 15 fps on the GRAW on low and around 60-70 fps on Battlefield with texture and geometry maxed out.

also I have comparable settings. For example, dyanmic lighting/shadow were off on both games.

i have tried the demo, and i have GRAW for 360

and a few things that i notice

                                - bad grahpics and peformance on 6600 GT
                                - extreem load times with 1024 MB ddr400 and after load times = mission briefing WTF !!!

with 360 version you getting briefed when you getting briefed you are loading the level, this wont take long, and in multiplayer its loading.... BOEM ready

also First person is nice but i dont have a clear view of my battlefield
AI is really dump and teammates are not handy at all ( 360 team mates are also not the smarts lol )

also, 360 version has a cool thing = cross com with video display in the uper left corner of the screen, wich you can see what your mates see , real time, with high FPS , this is also in multiplayer, real tactical

an other advantage of xbox live = 90 % has headset, you cant type = headset teamwork !
