Anybody try GhostRecon: Advanced Warfighter yet?

Just wondering how this game stacks up to BF2. Obviously its a bit more "real world" and a bit slower in terms of running and gunning, but what else have you noticed?

I'd like to stop and pick it up on the way home, but I'd like to hear some thoughts from folks who have gotten it already.

I tried the demo last week. I thought it was decent. It definitely isn't supposed to be similar to BF2 in any way. It is a FPS, but that is where the similarities end. You definitely need to use a hell of a lot more teamwork than you normally would.
Aside from that, it's typical Ghost Recon. If you ahve ever played those games before you will feel right at home. It's worth a look, I'm going to pick it up next week.

I don't think it's typical Ghost Recon. I'm also surprised that the graphics would have been better!

Now an admin will teach you where to make a thread. What has Ghost Recon to do with BF2?

I have it downloaded and installed, but hard to find the time to fire it up when I only have limited time to play BF in the first place. I don't even have the time to OC my proc. Still looks intresting though, looking forward to ETQW though.

                  Actually, it is quite typical:

                  -Squad members total of 4
-They require orders or else they just stand there
-You select weapons for your teama nd for yourself
                  -You need to complete objectives
-Older GR games are not run and gun style games, they require tactical/stealth approiaches to complete the objectives

I played it and just one word : AWESOME !

It's shame that it lags like hell on my computer, but If I had a powerful machine, I'll buy the game. The teamwork compared to bf it's just more present, even essential.

But I'll still play bf2 cause it's alot of fun too : knife, shock paddle, c4, claymore, mines .... aah hours of good laugh

It lags to 10fps on my machine on all LOW, while I can play BF2 at high texture. Definitely lag a lot more than BF2. If you has problem with BF2, it'll be much worse.

GRAW is one of the first games to employ the new physX cards and has some nice looking graphics to go with the improved explosion and object physics you can now get.

It's pure Ghost Recon good fun in the demo, can't wait to see what Multiplayer is like. A friend setup a LAN and had a blast going 3 humans vs the AI on the one stage you can play so it's looking pretty good.

To bad they screwed up Rainbow Six so badly, hopefully this makes up for it.

I played the demo for a bit, its ok (this coming from original Ghost Recon lover) but it remains to be seen how well multiplayer would be (CSS has spoiled me some)

ATTENTION TO THOSE HAVING SLOW FPS USING NVIDIA CARDS

I also had only 15 fps when I first installed and was like "wtf"

But someone recommended to update drivers to 84.23 (I was running 81.85 I believe) and my fps boosted into the mid 40's on all medium settings 1024 res making it very playable.

                              My computer is a Sempron 64 2800+ oced 2.4GHz and Geforce 6800GS oced 490 core/1200 memory
