Looks like someone hasnt played console games.

The title of this topic and even more, the "consoles suck" attitude is something I dont understand.

First, if you think PC "PWNZZZZ" because it has online MP FPS games, then youre just an ignorant fool who limits himself to one area. You know, there are more to games than running in the desert, jumping 5 feet into the air and killing people.

So far, Ive had fun playing both. I must say, that PC games boil down to good FPS MP games and RTS, and thats about it. Id choose Burnout games over any NFS EA ****. And Resident Evil over any survival horror released on PC.

Console games will always suck? You dont quite get to read much do you? Fact is that console market is doing quite well. And console games do pretty damn well. You can take all the "whining" threads from TotalBF2 and draw your conclusions

PC gameing dying:hmm: i dont think so but i only use my PC for FPS games
any otrher game i would rather play on a console

FPS/RPG/RTS type game are best played on a PC and they will always keep PC gameing flowing

I love consoles for games like Mortal Kombat, and 3rd person games, platformers and such. With demand of these games steady, there will always be a cheap console so that people can play them.

consoles lose in every aspect of gaming . now crawl out of your little shell and upgrade that crappy PC so you can see that.

errr how can consoles lose every aspect of gaming??? Consoles r solely made for game playin where as pcs r for a large range of diff uses. Some excellent games start out on consoles such as ps2 and come out on pc like a year later...e.g. grand theft auto and metal gear solid to name a few.

Personally I prefer my ps2 to my pc, firstly coz my pc isnt that good and secondly pcs give me alot more stress than my ps2(tweekin, maintenance, crashes, viruses, spyware etc.)

Games like CS:S, WoW, Total War and BF2 are better on PC.
Games like Gran Turismo, MGS, Resident Evil 4, and GTA are better on console.

The top-of-the-line consoles cost, what, 300$? The top of the line computer can cost you well over 2000$.

Consoles are just computers with slower/older technology processors. They are made to be cheap to reach a wide market.

PC gaming will never die because, frankly, the games are better if only for purely graphical reasons.

That being said, there are many games that you can only get on consoles and I have spent countless hours nintendo/supernintendo/turbographics16/nintendo64/genesis/PS1/PS2/Xbox and probably many more.

Anyone who says that PC gaming is dying is, basically, a dumbass.

They win, by far, on price. On top of that, content is pretty much a push. That's two major ways that console gaming does not lose.

My PC costs twice as much as my console(s) did.

My buddies PC costs 4 times as much, he also owns a PS2.

Im not a hardware expert, but from what Ive read and heard, this statement is a blatant lie.

PC gaming will never die because, frankly, the games are better if only for purely graphical reasons.

Right, nevermind that there are tons of ports consoles-to-PC that look and play hideously.

Just recently completed Cold Fear, and Im about to try Resident Evil 4 which will come out soon. RE4 on PC is already suspected to be the worst of all versions. Cold Fear on PC was not an impressive experience. And frankly, so wasnt GTA SA either.

Graphically, there are a lot of games that look pretty on consoles and PC games just cant match them. Resident Evil Remake, probably one of the prettiest game I have ever played, for example.

That being said, I was also amazed by FEAR, and Half Life 2.

Stating a fact without backing it up is a pretty dangerous thing.

Im not saying that you SHOULDNT mod a game. Im saying that a games natural life cycle doesnt always include modding. And console games modding aspect is limited. That is common sense, and shouldnt be adressed as an issue.

People always say that PC gaming is dying but when I look at massive and innovative games like BF2, EQ, and WoW (I hate rpgs btw), I'm always reminded of how powerful PC games can be. The PS3 and Xbox360 may have the temporary upper hand over PC's but even BF:MC 360 is limited to a pathetic 24 players when the PC version was rumoured to support 128! What a joke!! There's also the wonderful set top box-like quality of PCs. You can play a few games of BF, check your email, steal some golf money from RIAA execs, and post on forums all at the same time! Take that and shove it up your ass sony!@

Depends on what you like, PC do some games better console do other games better. This topic has been beaten to death countless times. If you don't like consoles....then don't buy them.....

I myself love my PC and my PS2 and will at some point get either a 360 or ps3.

I love consoles just as much as PC's But of all the years I've been playing on the console and till this very day, Sports, Racing, Fighting(the ones that are half decent) and Singleplayer games are the kings of consoles IMO. But thats just me. I've played those types of games on the PC, but it just doesnt feel right. One of my friends hates PC games w/ a passion, just for the sole fact that you have to use a keyboard lmao. Sure he knows you could use a gamepad instead but for whatever reason, I dunno...

Anywayz...As good as the console is, regardless of how powerful it is, the multiplayer games for them just cant beat the PC's online gaming world. And thats the main reason why I play on the PC, despite having a computer that can barely run BF2:p I could go on and on about this... But when its all said and done, just go and play whateva the **** you want!
