As far as i have seen they dont enforce the use ONLY of k&p other players use vehicles, play the game as it was intended (ie capping flags etc) not JUST the use of K&P so that blows the ROE out of the water.

What do you think they do on these servers? stand there and just knife and shoot eachother with pistols in a big group and sya to each other "i know lets kill eachother continually, dont move let me just shoot/knife you"

Whos to say the "self appointed" are richeous enough to make conclusions about others gameplay?

I suppose that is the question, in theory everyone is welcome to contribute to the ROE, in reality it would be impossible to ever get everyones opinion on the subject. In the ideal world everyone who ever purchased the game should have direct input as it is the players who matter, however a lot of players have better things to do than debate the endless implications and instead get on with playing the game blind to what goes on in the Brussels of BF2.

Yeah we already went over that. No kicking or banning for normal types of play and yes that is how that portion is interpreted. You cant name a server knife and pistol only and you cant enforce that type of rule. But the group can by votekicking and knowing what server it is and so it doesnt matter.

Just cause you need a S2000 or claymores to kill somebody dont ruin everybody's fun.

There is the massive hole in the ROE, which wont make it a viable thing to enforce correctly.., like everything else in bf2 itll get abused i would put money on that.

but but but I want to play on that server with my 2nd tier unlocks, I know there are several thousand other servers I could play on in the manner that i want, but I want to play on this one. It's much too hard to leave the server and join another one, thereby leaving everyone else to have fun with what their doing, I want it to be like Burger King and have it my way.

Your entire arguement falls apart once you consider that you can play with whatever ruleset your little mind can conceive just so long as it's unranked.
