I don't see why people are so excited. Alot of CS:S servers run this form of "co-op" gameplay. They're usually the servers that no one plays on. This would only be cool if you could add bots beyond the 64 player limit. Even then I don't get any satisfaction from killing AI opponents unless they're damn good like FEAR or Far Cry. BF2 definitly isn't in the same league.

in singleplayer u can only do 16 player games

kinda hard to practice bombing

jsut lloked at who is playing on one of the 1.3 servers, and their all bot names!

Read my mind. We are talking about EA come on their definetly not doing anything for free. VALVe would add new maps and game modes for no charge but EA wont.

the fun in playing against bots is that you can have all the modded content you want, teamkill the bots with them not getting mad and people who dont have internet connection can play it

COOP--alright!! I bet the bots don't do stupid things like--HOP, TK for a vehicle, Suicide bomb, hack, punish you when they run over their own teams claymores ect, say 'NOOB', vehicle whore, have little NAZIS administer--you know ALL the things that have ruined BF2 by the A oles that use, abuse, and support them.

And all these redundant, empty servers may get some use out of them. People are more likely to try to populate servers if they can play with some bots while waiting for more people to arrive.

I think it's a great idea, having bots to fill up slots on a server. It means you can have 64 people without the lag a lot of people get. Bots work really well in single player too. They follow your orders perfectly, and a bot Commanders responds to every request a squad leader gives them. When you say 'Follow me.' they follow you. When you say 'I need repairs!' they repair you. If they're going to be strong and smart, this could definitely bring back some love to DICE.

Agreed, anyone remember Tribes 2? They had bots on multi-player servers, and it wasnt cool at all....:hmm:

I think it's good to add it, it's nothing to write how about. The mode should have been in the game to begin with in addition to other things. I might play it once in a while with friends. What would have been cool is if they added a new MP mode agains humans.
