utac like to kick and ban. i got the boot when i was commander and the other commander kept dropping artillery on my main base. so i dropped artillery on thier base and SEE YA i was banned. i knew i wasnt supposed to i red the rules but a guy can only take so much. WHAT A BUNCH OF WAINKERS!!!!!!!! ITS OKAY FOR THEM TO BRaKE THeiR OWN RULES??!!!! we were winning so maybe that had something to do with it.

Admins are not omniscient and can not know you are being raped unless you tell them. "But they did it first!!!!!!" isn't a very good defense.

I kinda deserved the ban, however the issue here is of a clan who are not public friendly who treat 'guests/public' on their server with contempt (and do as they please). If you want an enjoyable game, don't go near the UTAC server.

I kinda deserved the ban, however the issue here is of a clan who are not public friendly who treat 'guests/public' on their server with contempt (and do as they please). If you want an enjoyable game, don't go near the UTAC server.

You're a guest on their server. You play by their rules. I've been on the UTAC server several times, been in squads with them on VOIP and found them polite and helpful. The only time I was kicked and temp banned, I protested politely and they apologised unreservedly for the error.

The server simply sucks.

Just start by the rules. I can say thats the main reason I never play on Clan servers. I obey the rules DICE gave us with the game but certainly not some self made rules from some clan members.

Example:
- No stealing of enemy vehicles out of their base.

Yeah and don't come even near the base cause thats not allowed in a war situation.


Since there are not so many EF servers out there anymore I gave that one a try.
And the first thing I noticed was that some UTAC member typed "Get out of the enemy base" to a Spec Ops guy. :laugh:

Then on Smoke Screen the UTAC guys done some serious plane camping and commander voice spamming.
Well thats also on the publics but at the end you won't get kicked by some retard because he's admin.

Good for me indeed, and good for all the regulars who keep the server busy.
I don't particularly care for rules being imposed, because as has been shown in this thread, they can be a nightmare to enforce, but that's their choice.
I've been on some clan servers without any rules, and the petulant, childish behaviour experienced was atrocious. However, the UTAC server is one of the best I've frequented and all the guys I've spoken to on VOIP have been pleasant enough.
The 64 player EF server's full or very nearly full all through the night, and has been for several months, which speaks for itself.

The server and regulars speak for themselves. I won't debate with people who don't enjoy the very simple server rules.
Mainly do not spawn kill.
If you don't like it, don't play on the server.

In response to the prior post we admin the best we can. We cannot see everything, but what we do we enforce. Just because we don’t see someone breaking the rules, doesn't give anyone license to break the rules. So if you find that you can't abide by the rules, please save us and youself some time, go find another server. Servers without rules or that don't enforce them are a dime a dozen, go there and have fun with some like-minded people.

This thread has went no where, BUT stated in the ROE you CAN NOT kick a player/ban for TK punish. Its fine to have rules, but they have to abide with the ROE.
We had this discussion with BFROE cause we used to kick abusive TK punishers. It was rare,but he had the rule. But I think HKS found out from Indianscout that it was against the ROE, since TK punish is a feature of the game and you cant have a rule that modifies a feature or gameplay.

Totally understand both sides story, but the thing is, sometimes it punishes when you forgive and stuff, so you cant really blame that person. Or hell maybe the person really deserved it,who knows. Unless you have battle recorder its he's word agisnt theirs. God BR is great.

The feature i like with bf2cc is to show when people punish and how many punishes and forgives they have done. That way you can see who was their page down key on auto.

I would just like to point out, that I did not post any pictures on UTAC's forum. If you (UTAC) check your logs for your forum you would see that.

Further to add, the situation is still on going - by simply removing the forum post on UTAC's forum will not stop the debate about 'waiting your turn' and 'player respect' which in my opinion UTAC doesn't instill in it's clan members.

To be blunt, you don't deserve respect. The respect I had for your clan, disappeared when they decided to hurl insults at me as well a homophobic remark, which I thought was funny at the time but shows the complete lack of respect your clan has for players who do turn round and question your tactics and your clan members.

To be fair to you, I would have given the same response because unfortunely the forum post has now been removed (and possibly deleted?). Again I will make the point that your clan has no respect for public players on your server. Why I believe this? the comment 'we teach our clan members to take the plane from others' shown a lack or no respect for others that use your server. And if they those people do post on your forums to make an opinion they are abused with insults.

Funny enough Zefram, this was on UTAC's forum. I believe they didn't agree with what was being said on the post so it was removed, again to stop debate concerning tactics and treatment of players using their server.
