  • Tanks and APCs ruin Karkand

    I'm sick of the vehicle lamers on Karkand raping spawn points with their tanks and apcs. You see the same losers over and over in their vehicles and at the end of the round they have 100 points with 40 kills and 2 deaths.

    I like the intense CQB of Karkand but when you can't move because some pinhead is sitting in a strategy spawn point raping everything that spawn, or even just sitting back in the safety of his armor, it ruins the game. It's bad enough you have to dodge nades, and artillery, throw in some overpowered tank or a couple of APCs and it's a joke.

    The AT missiles take 3-4 hits to take out a fully healthy tank and 3 hits for an APC. I end up getting killed 4-6 times before I ever get the tank or apc kill.

    It's MY opinion that the map would be better served without the tanks and apc. Vodniks and hmmrs are fine because you have a decent shot against those.

    I don't expect many of you to agree. I'm sure some of you are that won't are the very people I'm talking about.

    I agree but what can you do? I find it easier to take these out if you have a well organised squad but that is hard to find in public play. Or get friends to come and help you.

      True, one time our base you know the USMC spawn on the hill, everybody spawned there and was getting vicerated by the tank, there was two tanks, and two APC, they were together and all must have been engineers, I fired like 10 rockets in total and they just didnt die lol. but they had like massive points. Another thing is in Karkand, the constant APC and tank rolling up and down the sides of the first spawn in the alleyway.

      I know what you mean, is that you like the weaponary combat.

        One time I went on the hotel roof to fire some missiles at the APC that was raping us. I fired a shot, dropped down to prone, and as I was backing away from the edge of the building (I couldn't see the APC any more) I got killed by the b*tch. I almost lost it. I was told it was "splash damage." I guess even though the bullets are going UP they still splash DOWN. Yeah, whatever. It just felt so wrong.

          I agree entirely, which is why I play on the infantry only Karkand servers. However, the problem with this is that it only takes one person to abuse the rules to ruin the game. My suggestion is that server admins are given greater control of the content of their maps: for example implementing a checklist style system in which assets such as vehicles, UAV and artillery can be toggled on or off.

            Anti-Tank can waste a tank in 2 Shots. With a proper sqaud, tanks/apc's/ect can easily be taken out. It's called "SKILL" and "TEAMWORK".

            Can't hack it? Then perhaps it's time to fire up the old nitendo system and go back to playing Donkey Kong again. Lord knows this game is nubified enough to accomidate lack of personal skill for the nubs like yourself.

              Ive been on the receiving end of spawnraping. Truth is, in most cases people are too busy spawning with kits that just wont deal with the threat.

              For example, will a medic bag tosser spawn as an AT?

                The idea of the game is to work in squads if u do this and do it well APC`s are no threat....

                  Its very hard to find a squad which actually works as a team, beyond reviving each other, giving med/ammo packs.

                  Armor in Karkand ruins the map..

                  Like somebody suggested..make Karkand DAY 2 (BF42DC?).

                      Adapt and overcome. It just takes teamwork and thinking outside the box. Armor is only a force multiplier for enemy infantry. A smart squad that is spread out and working together will defeat armor everytime.

                      Or you can just make a post on a forum and whine about it.

                        If you're getting raped you have two solutions.

                        1) spawn AT or SpecOps and kill the raper.

                        2) spawn somewhere else.

                        Really rather simple.

                          One. Second option would leave the spawn open for enemy capture and thus just making you a rape victim in your next spawn.

                              It doesn't take much skill to fire a stinking missile moron so blow that out of your rear end.

                              1) I already said I did that. It doesn't always work because it takes 3-4 missiles to kill a tank. It's not like you can just sit there and fire away while the enemy ignores you. Go play Karkand, it's very busy with lots of action going on all around you non stop.

                              2) Sometimes you don't have that luxury if there's only one spawn point left.

                              BTW, I often times beg people to spawn as AT to help take out tanks and apcs that are raping but the point whores just want to keep reviving and tossing ammo bags.
