Although, I do think that looping moves like that could be a bit shady, but alot of what people want to use them for are a bit on the harmless side, like a one click spot button.

Again, you've misunderstood a bit.
By writing the macro correctly you give yourself an instant prone bonus... in mid air. A minor flaw in the game alows you to still DD and shoot while in the air.

I don't consider it "harmless".

There's lots of uses for macros that I wouldn't call and exploit, but theres others that are just flat out cheating.
