We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
His points have been reset, but he still has his rank and all unlocks, seeing as though EA treated him as a hacker it is a bit stupid to let him keep his unlocks i think you'll agree
None has heard any official stuff from EA saying they cant handle the situation or something? If they have everything under control then why wouldn't they, anyone, come and reassure people like Firestorm or whomever puts alot of work into the game?
Ah yes the commander bug...where you intentionally exploiting the commander bug or did it just happen by itself ?
Sorry man it does suck, does EA take appeals or something along those lines ?
No, read this from the FAQ:

We actively monitor our game servers for any kind of abuse or exploit that will detract from the way the game is originally designed. Such an abuse of the system is a violation of the Terms of Service agreement that is accepted when creating an online account.
If evidence is found which matched or exceeded our criteria for abuse of the scoring and ranking system, the owner of the account will receive an e-mail stating the Battlefield 2 stats have been reset. Each case of abuse of the scoring and ranking system is fully reviewed and verified before any action is taken. This action is taken for the benefit of the members of Battlefield 2's online community.
Exploiting or abusing the system to gain an unfair advantage over other members who use the service, or relaying such informaiton to others is damaging to the Battlefield 2 community. Please note there is no appeal process once an account is reset.
ehe you may laugh and call us the wannabe roe police and more
but our stats havent been reset either
not a nice way to try and get your case looked into if you ask me..
^In the same way it is not nice to reset people stats?
Could i ask you if you actually know how this glitch works? If so i am sure you would kindly put it on the record that it could occur without any intention of the player...

This seems to clash with what was sent in an automated email to edmundo, about the ability to appeal that is.
I would also like to say that he sent an email to bf2 support asking them to sort this out and remove the 20,000 points BEFORE they sent an email to say his stats were reset...

You realize that if someone explains the glitch, it isn't going to help the situation at all.

This is worse than getting caught up with some smacktards who want to stat pad with your dead body. At least in that case you can switch teams or leave the server.
This has the potential to let admins screw up any player they want as long as that player signs up to be commander. That is a major issue that needs to be fixed.
Thing is, EA could care less. They are making a fortune off of people paying for ranked servers and are hard at work on 2142.
When your stats get reset by EA, they don't even bother to give you an explanation of why they were reset, do they? That sucks for those who work really hard to accumulate their stats, only to have EA be the judge, jury, and executioner..
So I need to get this straight... BF2 has been out for almost a year. Nobody has ever had this glitch happen to them. Then, suddenly after the glitch is exposed and posted on forums about to how to do it, it "randomly" happens to you. Suspicious? Maybe someone can explain that one to me.
You realize that if someone explains the glitch, it isn't going to help the situation at all.
if the glitch is not caused by the player but a an admin who decides to play god with peoples stats, then yes the glitch should be thoroughly explained

Um it doesn't matter how much of an ass he is - if what he says is true (as in - playing commander normally but somehow his points skyrocketted) - then maybe there should be some investigation done into this.
I think that means you have work to do before you just whipe stats if this is the case.
I'm not taking sides - but you didn't even try to get the situation correct before you condemned him. Reset the flawed stats if he's an honest player.
But don't just whisk him off to hacker-land if there's a chance that this is an admin exploit.
Maybe you should do you're homework before you put the badge on again. As the "ROE Director" - maybe you should be concerned about this.
I would post how I think it works but I dont wish to be banned from the forums. I think this problem is a lot bigger than EA thinks. Since I have an idea of how it works and if you dont know the server admin dont play as commander until this is fixed or you risk getting yourself reset because of some other smacktard. They need to fix this now. I dont think it can wait. Especially if you play commander your stats could potentially be in the hands of some a-hole trying to get you reset.
