I know exactly how the glitch works, and as stated above it's not best to go into it, and yes it does happen by collusion also..

Collusion ONLY? Or can it also happen if the admins of a server do it to you and you do nothing to help them? This aspect of concern has not been identified clearly yet.

I for one was looking at starting to play some more commander soon (I have dreams of a WCR one day... yeah right... :P) but I won't touch commander until I know I can't be messed with.

wow man this really sucks hopefully you get your stats back and as for commander no more playing it for me. this just proves how stupid EA is im not ever getting anothe EA PC game

Yep I thought the glitch was rather funny at 1st as well. Now since someone can mess with your stats if you are commander absolutly sucks. The only way to make sure it doesnt happen to you is to NOT be commander until they fix it. Has EA released a statement about this yet? Will a fix be included in 1.3? I sure hope so. I was about to start going after some commander points for badges/ribbons but wont touch the position until this gets resolved.

As for them resetting the stats of the innocent people.....Well if they cant reset them back to just before the BRS then yes....its unfortunate but they have to reset all the way. Perhaps they should just give everyone all the unlocks then reset everybody. The only reason I care about points is so I can get the promotions to get the unlocks. Anywho thats my 2 cents.

Try a trouble ticket on their tech support page. Ask to be called. Be clear what happened, when, where, and how much. Don't get mad when you write, otherwise they might not reply.

Try sending the same message to Dice. Tell them also that something needs to be changed so that this doesn't happen to anyone else.

i think its EA's fault that they messed up their programing..and now innocent ppl are getting taken down...great..just great...(this is why i rarely play bf2 anymore)

Create and Sticky a list of servers this glitch happens to innocent players on.
When people stop playing on their servers they're stuck paying for a server that is empty all the time.Simple really.Stop crying to EA or Dice about conditions on smacktards servers.Just don't go there anymore and spread the word to the honest players in the community any way you can.Trust me when I say if it's one thing a smacktard hates,it's having no one else to play against but other smacktards all the time.Until EA patches this glitch I don't see any other recourse left to us at the moment.You can bet the Admin responsible for the server will take action against the smacktard responsible for (glitching) innocents when his server is idle all the time and he's shelling out greenbacks for nothing.I record the ip of every server I play on and how long I was there.And the names of any admins that were on while I was there.Better safe than sorry.I've been an online gamer for many years and I learned that lesson early.Can you say Mechwarrior?Sorry for the long post fella's.I'm not normally this windy.

Ther is one small bonus coming from this situation...with all the people staying away from the commander role, there should be at least a small reduction in artillery!:laugh:

I agree with you to an extent. I would bitch to EA big time!!! Its there fricken fault this bug exsists and its also the smacktards that are exploiting and causing others to exploit it. It is admins on the servers that are causing the problem. Not the players who show up. It is my understanding that once you are wiped they cant restore even if prooven innocent after the fact. EA needs to take some fricken responsibilty for this and address the issue now.

Once again......I have not seen or heard a peep out of anyone from from EA or Dice addressing the issue. I would think they would at least release a statement acknowledging their major screw up and that a fix is on the way. This isnt like the red/blue bug that was only minor. This is HUGE in my eyes. Especially since an admin can glitch and give the commander on the server double points. Next thing you know youve got 1000000 points and are in the top 10 with out even knowing what the hell happened. Then you realize it...report it but by then its too late....EA has reset your stats giving you some BS letter about playing the game the way it was meant to be played.

Remember awhile back some guy had his stats reset because of this?? I bet this is what exactly happened to him. He got some ungodly amount of points while commander and wondered WTF??? and reported it and got his stats wiped.

I for one dont really care that much about stats, I like the idea of getting points for the promotions and unlocks but thats about as far as it goes. I just would hate to lose my unlocks because of some stoopid jerk thinks its funny trying to get people reset.

Anywho come on Quake Wars!!!!!! I cant wait for that game.
