Ok, I try what you say. But where do I clear out the shader cache file? BTW In the game I can only get up to 1280x1024 How I get to 1600x1200?

You must have an LCD monitor if you can't go any higher. It's programed to protect you from accidently blowing your monitor up heh. Most likely that's the highest res your monitor can reach. So my prediction is that you have an LCD.

      Your shader cache is here:

      C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache

Substitute "C:\" for whatever letter your drive is.

Delete everything in that folder(but don't delete the folder itself)

Setting it to 1600x1200 isnt gonna "blow it up"

There is just only 1280x1024 pixels in the matrix on a 17'' or less LCD.

Yea, I did what you suggested. No Luck. The only thing that it changed was in the map load screen. There I got up to 180FPS..LOL which does not matter. At one point in the game I was 32FPS. Guess my LCD monitor is slowing it down Crap. btw I have a 19inch. This is really disappointing.

*EDIT* After double checking. Ooops, I didn't clear shader cache. After I did that and reloded back in, wow. Went on serveral maps real quick. Wake Island FPS was bouncing from 90-150fps, karkand 90-140fps, great wall 80-110, thats all I had time for, getting late and need to take off. But glad to see some performance. I know it does not matter but I like to see it, on map load 200fps. Thanks Jofaba for the tips. If you have anyother suggestions what I can do please let me know :) If I where to sell my monitor, what is a better LCD that I would get better FPS?

Glad to see things worked out for you. But don't worry about your monitor, it's not affecting your fps at all.

There's probably some more tweaks etc that can help you get better peformance and I'll talk with you later about it. Gotta get ready for work though. =)

Have a great day, and enjoy.
