ok, i thought Windows would install fine but it says... "Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem. Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check booth path and disk hardware.

I think either your hard drive is not setup properly or you chose the wrong boot directory for the windows install.(Make you sure you selected the correct cd drive where your windows cd is)

Make sure you have drivers for your SATA devices because Windows will need them on install more than likely. I believe it's "f6" almost immediately. Put them on a formatted 1.44".

I hope I don't come off sounding mean here but I certinally hope that once your computer is up and running you put some effort into getting to know it. Building your own rig with specs like that, you're going to fare a lot easier if you know what each component and action does. The most important part of your computer when you first start is going to be your bios. An out of date BIOS or incorrect setting can cripple your computer. I'm still learning (only been a couple of months) but only feel comfortable NOW to build a computer because I've done mine over a couple times (mostly painting inside of the case etc) and hardware switches).

I have the same mobo, and am also running two S-ATA disks in a RAID stripe.

First, make sure you've enabled RAID in the BIOS (it's a sub-menu in the second or third main menu option), and also that you've enabled the correct physical S-ATA ports for RAID. I found it easiest using S-ATA connectors 1-4, as that's powered by nVidias RAID management controller, as opposed to the Silicon Images (SIl) one (connectors 4-8).
Then, after the BIOS has POSTed, enter the RAID utility and set-up the RAID. Next time you boot, you should see your stripe in the RAID BIOS, showing as Healthy. If it does, your RAID is all set. You have to get the RAID working before attempting a Windows installation.

Now, go to the second main menu in BIOS and make sure you've set the correct order for your components. I've set mine to disk -> CD -> Hard drive.
Notice that on near the top in this menu, you can set the order in which the different hard drives are to be read (booted from). Make sure your RAID disks are at the top.

Make sure you have the S-ATA Driver Utility diskette ready, and press F6 when Windows Setup loads. After a while it'll ask you for the diskette. Unless you've got this disk, Windows wont recognize your RAID, but instead see two different disks.

i knew i had to go there first, but i couldn't. i have a usb keyboard and wondering when i push F6 it won't go there. should i buy a cheap ps/2 keyboard?

EDIT: Also, since you have the same board, did you run memtest86?

enable USB Legacy or something to get your usb keyboard to work. (worked for me)

what a headache huh guys!?! anywho, i'm not sure if DFI supports my cpu because on the My Computer>Properties>etc... it says "AMD Hammer Family Processor- Model Unknown" 2.21 GHz.... You guys care to enlighten me on this now? Thanks alot by the way!

Nevermind that. I think its the chipset or something. I know that it has Nvidia's nF4-SLI chipset, but the base or something, I'm not sure. Thats what Everest: Home says anyways.
