I have a 6800 Ultra AGP paired with a 3.2E, 2 gigs of Corsair XMS C2 ram, all on a Asus P4C800-E Deluxe mobo using an 875P chipset and all settings are MAXED default.
A year from now they may not be but I have had this rig for a couple of year already and gotten my moneys worth out of it.
Does the 6800 Ultra perform well with a 3.2 and 2 gigs of gaming ram.....
ABSOLUTELY!
Will a x800xt perform well with a 3.2 and 2 gigs of gaming ram.....
ABSOLUTELY!
So you have to decide whether cost or features is most important to you.
wait a couple of weeks for the agp 7800gs it has similar perfomance to the 6800 ultra but at a lower cost
There is not going to be a 7800GS for AGP. That was a total rumor that has been shot down numerous times by Nvidia. There will not be a GeForce series 7 for AGP.
