X850XT PE or 6800 Ultra

I'm looking for the best AGP card I can get. I don't want PCI-e, so all you fanboys out there, get away from my thread.

I believe these two are the best cards you can get for AGP. Correct? Which one is the best and which brand should I buy from.

YEs, they are the best. Now, before we get to any conclusions, i would like to ask all the games u currently play. Not old games u don't play anymore, but games u still actually play, then we can get u the card that best fits ur needs.

BF2 was developed on Nvidia. Go with Nvidia. A lot of developers are starting to sway in that direction anyway.

wait a couple of weeks for the agp 7800gs it has similar perfomance to the 6800 ultra but at a lower cost

BF2 was developed on Nvidia. Go with Nvidia. A lot of developers are starting to sway in that direction anyway.

It may have been developed on nvidia, but benchmarks have shown teh X850XTPE is better than the 6800ultra in BF2. BUt the X850XTPE is newer, it came out like 5 months after the 6800Ultra, so i would expect it to be better. Plus, it wasn't "optimized" for nvidia, unlike halflife and ATI, they actually optimized it just for ATI.

Oh, so it was optimized. I thought that it was optimized, but didn't have hard evidence, as i wasn't so interested in DOom 3. Wel, that's why nvidia gets like 20% better performance than their ati counterparts. And yeah, i agree with jackass, the guy said he wanted the BEST AGP card available, not "agp is the best" or something like that.

Not it's not. The same cards are pretty much equal in performance on both platforms.

Yes, it would be better, but it's not coming out in agp, so I'd just get the ati now.

Are u serious? WOw, that's unusual, cause i've seen ati cards beat their nvidia counterparts in vietnam and BF2. Maybe it's just because the X850XTPE is newer and overall better, but i dunno.
