Haha our family just needed a new computer, hell we did not even buy it for videogames we just needed a better computer than my old one, which had 192 MB RAM, 500 Mhz, 12 GB hard drive etc... Anyways those people who said no one would admit owning a dell, have you even played an XPS? I'm trying to refrain myself from chewing ya out :laugh: , lets just say a regular Dell pc and a XPS are in two totally different worlds.

For $3000-$4000 I can build 5-6 AWESOME Gaming machines

, i would love to see you try. What would they have in them? a 6600GT? Haha and what type of monitor? What motherboard? one tht would be discarded in a year. I'll give ya credit though you can build 4 relativley good pcs, infact in my PC Hardware gaming magazine they did build a fairly good pc for around $1,250, but 6 "AWESOME" pcs , maybe you were just exaggerating?

Let me just tell you this much... for 1GB 3200 ram chip I pay $39.
For a ATI X800XL/256 PCI-E I paid $189.... This is around 50%
less than what you pay online, and 60% less than you would pay
retail, say at Best Buy..

For my AN8 SLI Fatality motherboard.. I paid $99. This same Abit
motherboard at COMP USA right now is $230.

For $99, Im buying 19" LCD Flat Panel 12ns response time monitors.

for $3000-4000 bucks I could EASILY build 5 awesome gaming machines.

I know not everyone has computer shows in their area.. but in my
area.. Southeast... they roam around from city to city.. Nashville,
Indianapolis, Louisville, Cincinnatti, Atlanta, Tampa, etc etc etc..

If I ever need a part, I wait until its computer show weekend..

That explains it. But there are a lot of people that want a kickass first computer that don't have computer shows near them or don't know how to build their own rigs. Consider yourself lucky when you can build your own machine and save the money.

Don't you mean one 3.4 w/HT ? In hardware profiles it say 2 because it run's in dual channel.

I agree with this idea in general, however if you need a gaming laptop....Sure get a Dell.
Their customer service is crap though.

I wouldn't even get a Dell Laptop for gaming! This beats all Dell Laptops

I build around 100 machines a year.. some people request INTEL, but most
request AMD.. From my experience, and in my opinion, I will never personally
build my own pc using INTEL chips.. If you compare equivilent chips,
AMD just cant be beat for price...and I have never had one go bad,
even though I have heard several people say they have burned theirs
up.. I have never had one burn..

I will never buy INTEL cpus.. price gouging at its finest.

I am simply a loyal Intel customer who refuses to break away from them becuase they lost their patent and another company was able to steal their ideas to create a similar product.

Buying AMD just fits so perfectly into the ideology of this wannabe rebellious internet generation of left wing youngsters who would love nothing more than to double click their Firefox icon on their Red Hat desktop and navigate to their online ballot so they can hit every Democrat box they can find before clicking the send button and wondering what they just voted for. :laugh:

BTW, How did AMD take away Intels patent when AMD is the one who made the first consumer friendly 64 bit processor, and Intel is now catching up. No wonder you're a rightwinger, you don't know what you're talking about.

And Firefox works a heck of a lot better than Internet Exploder. But nah, that couldn't be why people use Firefox, it has to be that they don't like the principal of using a program thats making a Liberal multi-billionaire (Bill Gates) even more money.
