I'm running the game using a ATI Radeon 9800 Pro with no problems at all. I'm sorry that I can't be of more help, but I don't think that the problem is with ATI products...

Agreed, i run 9800 pro and 5.8 drivers, no problems. ATI RULE!!!!!

here's a good set of benchmarks for BF2 from Anandtech showing different video card performance:

Notice how the X800XL performs twice as fast as the 6600GT which itself is approximately 1.5X as fast as a 9800pro

Well it's even better then that, a friend of mine has a little slower processor, but overall same machine as mine with a 6800 ultra and can't go over medium.

ATI is cool I have never had problems with my ATI's and i wish i was a 3d guy so i could do the ATI girl ruby or whatever her name is.

Yeah, i read some thing about which brand to pick by names and pictures and stuff like that. They said nVidia had a better name because of the ATis X-factor, and for the little things that represent the brands, nVIdia had Nalu, the mermaid, although it shows the real graphics quality, it's too childish, great for a 5 year old girl. WHile ATi has Ruby, which is some kind of butt kicking punk, which is what they're supposed to be like, they should have something that appeals more than a mermaid, ATi won in this catagory.
