This is 100 % true, my thoughts exactly.Originally posted by DeathGiverOne thing is for sure i sure as hell dont like this forum and the people in it. Ya'll are a bunch of ignorant stupid uneducated mother****ers.
The only reason it's doing worse is because SLI is meant for high resolutions, there is no point in buying SLI unless you plan on playing the game at, at least 1600 x 1200 to truly show the benefits.Originally posted by evogre3nhmm.. the SLI performance is quite slow, 1gtx beats it... must be a CPU bottleneck, where is that review pic from?
Just look at these ss's:

That's where SLI comes in handy.Comment

I saw a review and this is the best card till now. One 7800GTX is even better than two 6800 Ultra together. (meaning also less heat and power consumption than two 6800 Ultra). Got to wait though for a reduced price.Originally posted by lil_jimmyI was wondering whats everyones take on the Nvidia 7800GTX is?Comment

ive got an X850 XT, my friend has a 7800 GTX ... he brags about it, i brag about the fact that i get the same 100 FPS in the corner that he does and my card cost 150 less and ive had it for 6 months. Im also about even with him in CS:S, same processor and same settings... he beats me when we go to higher rez than 1280x1024, but thats the highest my monitor supports so  , remember, the most important part of your PC to consider when buying a new graphics card is not the CPU (better GPU = higher FPS NO MATTER HOW CRAPPY YOUR PROCESSOR IS its a hinderence not a bottleneck) but your monitor is more important... a 7800 is worthless below 1280x1024 (well for now, im sure next years games will give the 7800 a tough time at 1600 and above), and as for SLI... why bother, a 6800 or above will give you about your monitors refresh rate, its not worth 300+ dollars to see a higher number in the cornerComment
