what is your exact model of headphones that you use and why do you like them?

what would be the absolute best mic/headset you would get if you had the cash?

idk i mean is there a better headset for gaming that i could buy than this? if so please let me know and give me a link because im strongly eyeballing these things

That headset is a gimick...5.1...in a headset...lawl..just get a decent pair of headphones is Senneheiser HD555's and a mic..Will be less moola than that as well as ridiculously better in terms of quality...

what is the difference between 5.1 and 2 channel?

mind you i WOULD like something that has a simple usb connector and not some funny wierd plug on it

5.1 means that there are six separate speakers, which supposedly gives better surround sound results. However, the sound quality is much poorer, and a decent set of stereo (two speakers) headphones with good virtual surround sound give far better results. And a single mini jack plug isn't exactly harder than USB. :p

I have the Sennheiser HD555's which cost ~£70

I had some 5.1 Speedlink Medusa's and they were an absolute gimmick. The whole 5.1 thing was silly. A decent pair of stereo headphones can emulate surround absolutely fine whilst providing a much, much better quality

My HD555's mixed with an Asus Xonar D2 and FLAC music = much audio joy.

So, in short, I win.

I use Sennheiser also. One of the PC16x series models. USB or mini jack ready, so you can choose which one you want.

I hear everything and everyone hears me when I talk. Ive been very happy with them.

I like em because the sound quality in them is do damn accurate, when your playing games you get the effect of hear all the sounds seperately... if you know what i mean. For music is a similar story and the bass response is just breathtakingly good for headphones.
