Re: DVI to HDMI adapter
The box says "DVI-I" and "HDTV-out". It came with an S-video cable and an S-video to RGB adapter, though.
The "9600GT" label is just a sticker lol
I hooked my 8600GT to my TV once via S-video cable and the sound went through it. Would it be the same for my 9600GT & DVI->HDMI?

Re: DVI to HDMI adapter
Not the yellow one the one with pins, do you have a connector on your graphics card on the inside of your case? I think some Nvidia cards need that to output sound to HDMI, either that or it's an alternative so your sound card can transmit through HDMI, I really don't know.
