    DVI to HDMI adapter

Is it picture only, or does sound work too?

Some DVI supports audio, but check. I know my HD4870 does.

Check the box first. It will most likely refer to it as HDMI as opposed to DVI.

The box says "DVI-I" and "HDTV-out". It came with an S-video cable and an S-video to RGB adapter, though.

The "9600GT" label is just a sticker lol

I hooked my 8600GT to my TV once via S-video cable and the sound went through it. Would it be the same for my 9600GT & DVI->HDMI?

I am fairly certain only AMD cards support audio out. Check out this run down on cables for more information on DVI and HDMI.

Do you have a SPDIF in on your card?

The yellow port with the cable coming out the back of it? No, I don't have that.

                    Thanks for the link, Corkum.

Not the yellow one the one with pins, do you have a connector on your graphics card on the inside of your case? I think some Nvidia cards need that to output sound to HDMI, either that or it's an alternative so your sound card can transmit through HDMI, I really don't know.

is it supposed to be attached to the card, or included in the box?

I know what an HDMI port looks like. Mine doesn't have one. It's like the first one. Two DVI ports and an S-video port
