Don't go with either.

The both cards are the same except more memory on the other. Shader count is the same.

Sit back and scout your options better. 7600GS as new is just not worth the $100 you are throwing it at. Get x1950 and you'll be much more pleased.

Ok, I found some on Ebay, but tbh I don't really like ATI. I like Nvidia, so I looked for the 7800GS, and found it http://cgi.ebay.com/EVGA-7800GS-CO-2...QQcmdZViewItem
Should I just order this and be done with it? I know for sure this card will do what I need, play all the games out right now(dunno about Crysis) because a friend of mine has one. It is cheaper than all the x1950's I found, and I'm sure will give it a good run for performance and quality.

7800gs isn't really that good. Look for the X1950's or 7900's.

Well, if I can find the x1950 for a cheaper price, I'll buy it right away, being that was the card said to get multiple times in this thread. Only I don't know which to get, I know nothing at all about ATI cards.

functionally ati is really no different from nvidia, you just uninstall old drivers, uninstall card, install new card, install new drivers.

it's pretty much plug and play.

overclocking programs are a little different. you can use the catalyst software to overclock somewhat, but ati tool is far more powerful, and ati tray tools offers extensive tweaks and the ability to display your temps, fps, and fan speed in a little window while running your games.

Basically because it was cheap, and I also needed a power supply with it. The fact is I have a fx5500 and a 5700 would be considered an upgrade for me, so I'll be good with the 7600, I'll be satisfied not lagging when in scope on Bf2.

I upgraded from a fx5500 to a 7600 on my old rig before it died, it was a good improvement.

gs is agp and the gt is PCI-E is it not?
i had to get the GS becasue i had AGP. it ran BF2 perfectly well though.

Yes, its agp. It shouldn't give me many problems for what I want out of it, from what I read it will run Cod4 medium-high with good amount of FPS. When DX10 becomes wide spread I will have a problem though.
